Haha I went for like a half hour hike behind everyone's houses. Can't imagine what the neighbours were thought.

Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it!
This was shot on February 23rd. We thought it was potentially going to be our last powder day for the season after the 2-week dry spell. But it didn't turn out to be the case.
Still got a few more great powder days to edit together ;)

Love this vid mate!! Heading to Niseko for my first time for 2 weeks in Jan 2025. Any tips on how to read the weather when picking to the best spots on the mountain??

Hey mate, glad you liked it. I've got plenty more you can binge watch and more I'm still editing.
Honestly, January you'll normally be pretty sweet anywhere. It dumps pretty much consistently in Jan (this vid was shot in late Feb which is a bit different). But yeah, I use the app Windy to track the weather and I read the Niseko avalanche forecasts daily. So that along with just a bunch of knowledge I've picked up over my 2 seasons there, most of which just comes from exploring the terrain over and over. I'm in no way an expert by any means though.
If you're going to be riding out of the gates, just know what you're getting yourself in for. You can get lost, stuck or injured quite easily if you don't know what you're doing. Avalanches can and will occur, even on days with "low" risk. I always ride in these areas with at least one other experienced person and always have my shovel, probe and beacon.
