I'm 63 years old and we were making the same things as kids. Cutting the handle off the top drilling through the cross bar and attaching a 2 x 4 with an axle that was secured by 10 penny nails and steered with a rope. Our seat was a plastic milk crate that sat against the material carrier and was secured with nuts and bolts through the hand cart frame. We took the milk crate that we used and cut one wall away and we cut perfectly sit in...They just were free rolling with no engines....and they were soap box illegal because they were pretty fast...LOL
We used u shaped fencing nails to hold our axle's on they were too long meaning you could have the interesting choice of leaving them hangout too much and suffering from wandering axle ( a terrifying experience at 30mph on some scrap wood nailed together by someone stupid enough to test drive it) or have crudely bent over sharp pointy things sticking out all over something you will eventually crash because this piece of junk steered with your sister's third best skipping rope will end up running into a wall when you can't break fast enough by digging your heels into the concrete.
You are bringing my childhood imagination projects to life. I put a skateboard on the “front” of one of these and a 2x4 on top for seating. I had no steering but I am telling you, in my mind it was just like your build!
I just subbed what an awesome channel you have i like the mix of home life and friends in this and you are extremely funny. I have high hopes for you and your channel my friend. Excellent build I want more
My favorite part of your video was when you said "Sick" and you had a clip of Team America World Police where Gary is throwing up. I was dying. Lol The Go kart is cool too.
Is tig welding strong enough for structural supports? Like welding the frame of a bike together, actually not even a frame, just welding accessories onto a 6062 aluminum frame?
Don't know much about gocarts or cars in general - but how would spacing the tires out a bit more change the driving experience? This almost looks like I would be afraid to tip over if going hard around a corner, haha :) Some gocarts are so low and wide etc. This one seems a hell of a lot easier to transport though and it looks awesome!
1000% right but I wanted to keep it short and twitchy for the excitement 😅😂 big advantage is exactly what you said. Fits easily in the back of the car.
OK, so here’s what you should’ve done with the axle that was on the handcart is turned that into the live axle it would’ve worked you could use it all you need is some bearings and the things that lock everything into place sure you might have to cut in some custom notches, but it would still work and it would be cheaper😊
Definitely cheaper but no by much i reckon. With all the time I would use and hair pulling. I think a 15 buck axle from aliexpress saves me that pain. 🙂
Where do you get the gokart parts from in Norway? I've been wanting to make a gokart ot minibike for many years now and this awesome build has motivated me to finally get a welding machine and take the leap.
Ali express my friend. Norway just doesn't sell the the parts to make a mini bike or gokart. I've got some links to some parts in the video description if you want to check them out.
Most is scrap from other projects but I've done my fare share of dumpster diving. for example that floor piece was in a dumpster. It's amazing what people throw out.

Would it be possible for a possible longer video where you could show a somewhat more in depth process so that we could try this ourselves? No pressure or anything just curious I would love to try this out but have no prior experience to building a year but have the tools to do so
@jahyeet1137 I'd love to do share more of how I built it but I kind of work with no plan just an idea and work it out as I go along. Any specific info you need?
@401Adventures it was from a hover board gokart thing. If you look back to my drift shopping cart build you'll see it. Otherwise you can just buy a similar seat from Temu or Ali express.

"There's something scary about a new tool which you couldn't really afford"... Yeah I feel you! At my second bend i put on the 1" 3/4 die and tried to bend a 1,5" tube ofcourse it came out sh!t and I panicked like a pussy having spent 700 bucks for it. Oh the joy in realizing I'm a moron and the machine actually works LOL Tho that model has some limitations you might be aware of, mine is a JD^2 clone made in UK i think. To say, I like going cheap with materials and many consumables but after thought case by case, I tend to "invest" in tools that I will reuse and will save me time in the future. For example, have u noticed how a plasma cutter does much more things than a tube notcher while costing almost a half? ;)

Sorry Stephen original content is hard to find these days it seems. I'm glad you are creating original videos for the rest of us 🙏Maybe we should meet up? I'd love to discuss some original ideas with you. Perhaps you could be my original idea consultant. I need all the help I can get.
Ok hear me out, you build it backwards. Put the seat at the other end in the U. Sit low, legs up high like a mini Formula 1 car. Siiiick
I do kind of like that idea. I'll put it in the ideas bank. Thanks for sharing
💯 YES!!!

Amazing. I went to try to learn more about you, as a first time viewer I was curious. Your website link doesn't work.

I'm no expert and I don't know your project but I'd say yes.
Hey good video style! Much more peaceful to watch with less of the over the top hype. It's the style I'd like to work towards for my videos too.
Thanks dude looking forward to showing you more!

I like it!
Now, to extend the frame... get them knees a little straightener 😁
