    I have a Extreme 84, after oiling the dry fret board and putting Grover tuners and EMG 81/85 pickups in it, it's my favorite guitar to play. It looks like an evolutionary link between the Explorer and the Firebird, which I love. I plan on getting the EX 84 tribute series, which is more a traditional Explorer look but I don't think it compares to the Extremes originality.

    Dude, I rock a $50 Samick Torino TR1 I got off of LetGo! I also have an 'Ariana' strat I got from Craigslist for $30 and upgraded with a $20 Ebay loaded pickguard. I have a Harley Benton SC-450plus Les Paul copy ($186 SHIPPED!) which plays just as well as, if not better than, ANY Gibson Les Paul I've played over the decades! Deakon I have been subbed to Max's channel for quite some time and caught a collaborative review you guys did on the Fusion line of the HB guitars. So I figured I would come over and give your channel a look. I am really glad I did you have quite an array of very cool videos.
    I do not have much experience with the HB line itself, but my brother is an aspiring luthier and had put together an HB T-Style kit that I played around with, I have to say it played really well. I don't think that the components in the kit are nearly as nice as an assembled unit probably uses; however, he set it up well and put some custom electronics in it that really made it sing. I like the quality of the neck and the fretwork he said that he only gave the frets a good polish because they were dry feeling not because they were poorly installed or unevenly filed.
    It would be cool if you did do reviews of different axes, amps, and effects pedals and things of that nature because you have an amazing sound, sir.

    Max sent me. Had to sub. Very cool.. Yeah. Do a review. I thought about one of their LPs. My biggest thing is fret work, nut and bridge. What you say is true. It's the playing that matters and practicing that matters.
    I need to sweep better. I've been playing for 40 years, and can do some sweeping, but not like 6 string sweeps or rakes as we used to call them. I'm old. 😉

    I do have this guitar and i bought it because these good reviews about it but... i dont know is it about the pickup height or the nut or what but my sound is kinda muddy and some of the frets just kinda buzz when i play them and that really hurts my tone. It sounds pretty shit and thats really bothering me because i play in a band. Btw yes i am a beginner. So what im here for is to ask you should i lower my pickup height or raise it or whatever i just wanna sound like a pro.

    • @DeakonLekross
      @DeakonLekross  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A place to start its - fret the last fret and adjust bridge pickups to 2mm and neck pu to 2.5mm and see how that sounds
      Strings can have a play in it and the amplifier can as well.
      If you have fret buzz's then that could be an issue like a high or low fret.
