    I do both shop and mobile for many years. From my experience mobile is the way to go! It is more convenient for the customer and more profitable for me. I still detail at my shop, however it is becoming a storage place for my mobile units as time goes by 😅

      haha either one can really work once you have the customers! But for starters, highly recommend mobile.

    Starting up my business out of my garage but want to take it mobile when the time and money is right to purchase generator and a water tank for my Tacoma. But I also want a shop further in the future not any time soon, just a goal I have.

    great video.
    My world is very different no private hoyses, no driveways, not private garages, 90% no power or water and if there is no drain systems
    my city is 90% apartment blocks and i struggle to work as mobile..............
    the shop here HUGE amount of expencies and costs and taxes and many many already establised with reputation detailers

      Apartments are easy to work in. You just need a generator and a small water tank (depending on what you're doing). All we carry is a 5-gallon water tank and that's it lol

    Good morning I would rather mobile cause I have a pop up tent to detail my cars for my customers

    I work out of my home garage, would love to know more about why that’s a bad thing? I also live on the main road in my town, 2 blocks from the downtown center with a large amount of traffic going by everyday. I don’t put out signs but I know I could if I needed to. Also my situation is probably different than most, I’m not hidden tucked away in a neighborhood.

      Also if you work out of your home garage don’t call it a garage. It’s now a shop and should look like one. Clean up and move your lawn equipment somewhere else, paint, make it professional and presentable. It can be done but I’d love to know why you’re against it.

      It's just a general rule. If your "shop" will benefit you more than mobile, that's great. You're just able to service a larger area then being at your home.

      Detail Core also my shop “garage” isn’t connected to my house so that helps I guess, if that matter idk.
      I mix in mobile but thats more of a last resort option if the customer can’t make it to me.

    Is general liabilty insurance the type protection a mobile detailer needs?

    • @detailingbusinessclasspodcast
      @detailingbusinessclasspodcast  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's a few. Best to contact a local agent and explain what you need. Not sure if it's all the same everywhere

    Unless your home tied with HOA ( Homeowner’s Association) you can’t start a business or they will shut you down. Also if you live in a apartment complex with no garage you’re out of luck. If you are doing in your garage.

    • @detailingbusinessclasspodcast
      @detailingbusinessclasspodcast  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh that's true. Some HOAs are terrriiibblllllle

    • @voltage80x

      Aaron's don’t buy a house with an hoa, why spend so much money only to have some association tell you what to do. Mind boggling
