I've never heard cadenzas like these in the first and third movements in Baroque music. They foreshadow the Galant and Romantic periods and are very ingenious.

The long first movement cadenza sounds proto-Romantic, like Locatelli was anticipating Paganini. The long-breathed, pensive lines of the second movement foreshadows Mahler. Locatelli was a musical Nostradamus and I'm grateful you and other TH-cam channels are giving his compositions the exposure they deserve. Another beautiful painting and handsome officer to match. 😊
