- Heavy rain lashed several parts of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, dumping over a year and a half’s worth of rain on the desert city-state of Dubai in hours and flooding portions of major highways and its international airport.
The heavy downpour that caused widespread flooding in Dubai and other parts of the UAE stemmed partly from cloud seeding, experts said.

This all due to increase temperatures world wide, With low pressure areas water laden air from the oceans rush to this low pressure areas. This causes built up of heavy water laden clouds in that areas. which then fall as rain. The heavier theclouds formation the heavier the rain. This is geography.
It would be useless to built a drainage system in the desert as the sand will be blown into the drainage system and choke it.
God never instructed you to build city on desert!
