Your channel popped up in my home page. I have watched a couple of your videos. And I have really enjoyed them. You are adorable. And your little boys are precious. I had one son and I adore him. His daughter, "my granddaughter" made me a great grandmother in January. A beautiful baby boy named Maverick Rhett. I am off now to watch more of your videos. Tyfs. HUGS 🙏🇺🇸🌼🍉🌽
Hi Judy! Thanks for watching and introducing yourself. Congratulations on becoming a grandmother! We are so blessed by the love grandmothers can give our littles. Hope you enjoy following along🥰
P.S. I totally understand the part you mentioned about a todder not transitioning well to a move. I have a 4 (almost 5) year old that totally changed after we moved to our first ever house!!! It was a big deal and he did not do well with it, then on top of it a year later I had my 3rd child and he just did not adjust. He's been doing better and better over time. Just hold on tight and know that these seasons do change and it won't always be this way. ❤❤🫂
Good for you Emily…you sound like a mom with great connection to your kids. We moved states for my husbands job when my oldest was 10, had a newborn and a 2 year old son. I was walking through the house after we’d loaded the moving truck….I found my 2 year old son in the empty master bedroom covering his eyes and crying. It still breaks my heart to think about it. He’s 28 now… of course it all worked out for the best. But it is amazing how much change can effect even a 2 year old. Then with all the stress my milk dried up. 😞 So even a big change for my newborn. My 10 year old LOVED it though. 😊 Hang in there and hold on to every moment. My 3 kids are wonderful adults. But I’d turn back time if I could any day of the week to when I had a diaper bag hanging on my shoulder. 😊
Thank you for sharing 💙 it is definitely not easy doing this parenting thing we’ll and each season brings new lessons up for me and Dominick. So encouraging to hear though that they are only little speed bumps 💙
Hope you keep feeling better. Praying for you guys❤. That’s a jello mold, is what I know it as… Make some strawberry jello and mix in canned chopped pears (for example), and you can have yourself a nice old - fashioned snack😉. Or orange jello with shredded carrots, or whatever you might dream up. Kind of fun. And good job, mama. You made a wise decision.
As for brass, I’ve gone both ways and either way looks great. I love brass! I feel you on taking care of little kiddos. Mine are 11 and 8 now and its so much easier than when they were 1 and 3. You’ve got this!
So good to see you. Your son was a good helper handling you things. Enjoyed going thrifting with you and you did well in your haul. Looking forward to seeing how you style your fines.Blessings to you and yours❤
I just purchased the same vase (honeycomb pattern) about 2 months ago and I'm excited to use it once we start getting fresh flowers up here in PA! I also have a similar brass trumpet, although I think your's is a taper candle stick.
The Cloche thing isn’t a Cloche! It holds Cake! A Cake Stand! But u could use it as a Cloche?? And the Brass I Never Polish my brass! The Patina is what’s Beautiful!
Oh, oh, oh,..... I HOPE you didn't polish the patina off the brass!!! It takes years to get that beautiful aged look, and it's so beautiful! Unless you're going to use them, then I vote leave them as is! Thanks for another great vid!!!
Hi there Emily!! I love your style so much and have definitely missed seeing your thrifting videos, since I'm a newer subscriber I was like what happened?? Oh! She's been busy! 😂 Anyway, I just had to throw a quick comment out to you about the heart jelly mold and the other little collander, I would just be careful letting your littles play with those, I think aluminum is what the heart is made from and certain levels are supposed to be really bad for young children when they're exposed to it. I only recently found this out myself. I've been a thrifter for a long time (I'm 35) and NEVER not once did I ever know that you have to be careful of LEAD poisoning with old dishware, like you know using it and serving your family with. Well, long story short, I did find one item in my collection that I had been serving my family with (an old Pyrex dish---homestead design) that has a very high level of lead in the paint on the outside. Anyway, after tearing apart my kitchen to find all of my antique or vintage pieces, I've been more leary about what I actually use or just use as decor. Oh, and in my research of looking up this lead business, I found that aluminum can also be dangerous. 😮💨 So, anyway, I hope that everything is fine and nothing to worry about but I just thought I'd pass along the info in case it helps. ❤❤❤❤
Hi Amber! Hoping to be back every week now! I really love making videos haha thanks for watching!!! And thank you for this insight! I’ve always been careful with lead but did NOT know that about aluminum!! Will definitely look into it. Thank you for sharing!
@@EmilyGarbe Of course!! And please don't push yourself outside of what you and your husband feel is right for you family. Us TH-cam watchers can wait a couple weeks (or however long), you can't get the time back within your family though. I quit doing family/children photography a few years ago for this very reason, I'm someone that has a VERY hard time multi tasking, I get SO focused. So, I left Instagram, Fb etc. to focus on my husband, children, homeschooling, church, and I still take pictures just of my own family now. ☺️ It's been very freeing. Anyway, alllll that to say I understand and appreciate any time you give to us. 💕💕
I see you're in Bradenton, Im in Sarasota the town below Bradenton. Welcome. Even tho after my whole life, 48 yrs we will be moving next yr. I leave my brass patina. Oh just to let you know the Red Barn has gone way down hill. Saturday and Sunday are when more booths are open but still not great any more. The farmers markets are good but few and between. Maybe the rents have gone up but IDK btw some of Btown is nice the rest yuk. Be good to yourself and your family. Your true subbies will wait.. Take your time. Unless you absolutely rely on YT money
We’re so close to you! We go down to Sarasota often. Loving this area so much so far! Just got back from AMI 🥰 good to know about the red barn flea and that’s too bad!! Oh well I’ve found plenty of great thrift stores haha and of girl, I absolutely don’t rely on the $. I make like $8 every 1,000 views 🤣 but I grateful for it haha thank you Shannon 💕
@@shannonlynch4598 thank you Shannon 💕 have you been to the goodwill outlet here? I’ve been meaning to check it out but want to know if it’s worth it haha
@@EmilyGarbe its okay if you like alot of clothes and shoes. Varies with the home decor items. And very rude ppl. I think they change out 1 row every 45 mins or hr. Good to go at least once
Let me know what caught your eye! And do you polish your brass? ☺️💕
Decorating my home and garden has never been easier, thanks to TRANQUIL Tents. Their product selection is fantastic
Great to hear!

Edit..I polish my brass.
Hi Judy! Thanks for watching and introducing yourself. Congratulations on becoming a grandmother! We are so blessed by the love grandmothers can give our littles. Hope you enjoy following along🥰
I am a non-polisher. I really like the aged look. But I’d still be friends with somebody who polishes!😄
Hahaha love it!
I do polish my brass, for the most part. I just like it to be bright and shiny.
Especially around the holidays it looks so pretty!!
8:20 - that big marble slab might be for pastry dough.
Oh true!!

Thank you 💙💙 this is helpful. I hope this season can make me and him both stronger for the next 💙
I appreciate your honesty Emily. I’ve never done TH-cam, but I imagine it’s like any job - time consuming! Take care & family comes first. 💕
Definitely! Different but takes up headspace haha thank you Janie 💕

The napkin holder can also be used as a letter holder. That would look real cool, too. 😉

It’s a great vase!! It’s holding some palms in my kitchen rn! So springy! And I will have to check - thank you 😊
I actually have the brass holder for the utensils on my wall right now! I use it to hang my keys because I had no idea it came with utensils 😂
Wait I love that idea!! We might have matching key holdings real soon hahah

Well done

Left them as is!! Y’all definitely swayed me haha my mom just always took pride in polishing things around our house so it’s what I’m used to haha
Leave the patina. i leave All my brass candlesticks with the aged look
I’m so glad I asked! I am surprised this is most people’s answer
Of clean the brass kitchen utensils but do not polish, leave the patina, that is what I would do.
I need to research how to best clean them! To interesting everyone leaves the patina!

Yes! I think that’s what it is! Using the base as a trivet now for a floral arrangement!
