I doubt that. But even then, these are fluent english casters in Japan, who likely also can speak japanese. While not super unique, that's still a consideration. You can't just grab any two players from the venue and ask them to commentate.

Man how many people are keen to have no commentary matches? I speak for my self here but all the nonsense chatting that I keep hearing all the time makes me enjoy a little bit less the actual fight. And I say this cause I've been watching other tournaments and the commentators seem to do the same, nonsense chatting and silly laughter about something that is not related to the fight going on the video. Please, more no commentary matches!
Commentators help hype matches up immensely, but these guys are terrible! Lol, hopefully they can find some better ones, or just tell these guys to learn the moves and stay focused on the set.
I'd rather they just leave the original commentators from where the tournament is being hosted from. I don't need hear English every time I watch a set, just seeing the characters duke it out is good enough.

Ken has like fifty extra moves unless you main the character or play the character you aren’t gonna know that.

I think it's moreso the type of people commenting. I couldn't help but cringe during the first few minutes of the match and tried ignoring the rest.

Tbh he's just playing the matchup. Engaging with FGC characters head on is a super easy way to get killed. This is how you play against them.
