Thanks for showing the fails. Makes for better entertainment. People are to afraid to admit they failed nowadays. I like showing my fail and then showing my win. We all make mistakes, and the mistakes are what make us better. 🤘
We can all feel like a rookie out on the trail, maybe more times than not! Yep, will be definitely conducting a DirtWise school in Georgia, hope to see you there mate!!!
Excited for the 2nd video! I struggled at that hill where the video stopped. I CAN'T IMAGINE that hill with the ice that was on it. I am not convinced you made it! That trail is gnarly, and it just keeps getting gnarlier. You can ride it as a loop all the way up over the top of the mountain back to a dirt road back to soldier pass
I think too many people think they need the latest and greatest bike to have a good time. I love watching your stuff because you ride the heck out of those bikes and have a blast. This is a sensational trail. Dented a fork tube real good on that one time. That was before that pansy bypass on that first big ledge.
Correct about not needing the newer bikes, I'm always baffled by the amount of punters who brand new bikes!!! And yes, that bypass shouldn't be there - if you can't make it up that first rock wall you shouldn't bother going any further, conquering it is like then having the right of passage to keep going up!!!
@DirtWiseRidingSchool oh you saw that, eh? Ahh that was on my cheater bike, doesn't count! 😂 I've been doing night rides up it lately - whole different ballgame!
Yeah mate, saw that when you posted it on that FB group early this year, finally got there last week to ride it and scout it for a crack at your time, ha, ha!!! Yeah, that E-trials-ish bike would make it easier, however you were still doing the trail with good style, technique and speed!!!
@@DirtWiseRidingSchool heh, thanks, brotha! Next I'll have to capture and post my KTM time up that trail! Won't be nearly as quick, but should be fun. Great video btw! And your other tutorial videos are super helpful to many of us that are newer to or looking to improve our skills on gas dirt bikes. Keep 'em coming!
Yall probably already know about it, not sure. But out in Saratoga springs, the mountain right next to it. A lot of decent trails, got some jumps and a track by them. Give it a try and make a video on it if you haven’t yet. Cheers, thanks for the content!
@@DirtWiseRidingSchool if you’re feeling up to it. Stop by Saratoga and give the mountain side a try. Can send you my trails that I have saved? But I find it more thrilling just exploring new areas. Thanks for replying man 💯
It is located just south east of the Eagle Mountain township, in the Lake Mountain range on the west side of Utah Lake - heaps of single track out there, go explore in that area and you'll quickly come across some excellent riding!!!
Yeah mate, got it cranked up now, and will be doing heaps more long into the future - same with the schools, will be cranking them out next year, will be awesome to see you at another one!!!

I have no shame in showing it all, and admitting to the mistakes because there are plenty of them!!
@DirtWiseRidingSchool same here. It is funny some of the comments I get for the office chair professionals. Haha!
#KeyboardWarriors, ha!!
Definitely gives me a laugh too, and I couldn't care less if they think and say "You suck mate!"!!!
@@DirtWiseRidingSchool haha! True that!
#TrueDat
Thank you for the commentary!! Helps me think what I should be thinking a bit
It's all about thinking ahead and planning your lines!
@@DirtWiseRidingSchool Thank you for the reply!! Im going see if I can make it to your riding clinic in GA next year. Feel like Im stuck in C class

Very nice Shane! I love the commentary! Thank you for sharing..
Stoked you enjoyed it mate, more to come!!!

Part 2 goes live in a few days, on the evening Nov 20......., and of course I made it to the top, ha!!!
Looks like fun and you’re correct about Momentum being your friend.
Yep, momentum can make a BIG difference between a clean ride or a fall!

Awesome trail thanks for sharing! Glad you didn’t blame your 15 year old bike, bald tires, hole in your grip or that kick thing, keep ripping 🤘🤣
Yeah, those things might be to blame, just not this time, ha!!
🤙 positive attitude gets you through
Gotta charge into it!!!
Love it! Thanks for keeping it real and not “creatively” editing out the struggles
It's all part of the journey, right?!
You've got to love the West Lake Mountain. It has so much to offer!
The riding out there is just something special!
One of my favorite trails!
Indeed, it's good - I need to go back and have a proper crack at your 9 minute benchmark ascent time, ha!!
@DirtWiseRidingSchool oh you saw that, eh? Ahh that was on my cheater bike, doesn't count! 😂 I've been doing night rides up it lately - whole different ballgame!

Wise observation regarding momentum.

And 5 mile pass, has some great riding also.
Yeah, that sounds like a good time! That area has plenty of good stuff for sure!!!
Yes it does, so much great single track there too!!

Exactly, I prefer to have a general idea of the area and to then go explore it with an adventurous spirit!!! Keep on roosting!!!
Been there. That is a hard challenge!
Definitely a worthy trail to go attack!!
Most of my serious injuries were playing around trail riding. Rarely hurt during a race.
Yeah, sometimes it can be that way - hopefully you're still out roosting despite that lingering permanent injury damage!!!
Great job this Trail is no earlier than your Dell videos haven't watched too many of your videos but where is this located somewhere Western desert

What a great trail! Great job showing the fail. " U suck Bro!". 😂
I'm always happy to show the fails, it's all part of the learning process, right? 😂
@DirtWiseRidingSchool Absolutely!
.....and that's because maybe I actually do suck - at least that's what it feels like sometimes, ha!!!
7:57 Can spot a 2 Stroke Performance tune anywhere.
Stop it blowing up, no probs just throw twice as much oil at it.
20:1 Spooge machine
Adequate lubrication is a key point!!!
Man, Wattsy you’re just throwing out the content lately. Hoping to do another course next year! Cheers!
Yeah mate, got it cranked up now, and will be doing heaps more long into the future - same with the schools, will be cranking them out next year, will be awesome to see you at another one!!!
What bike you on?
Clapped out 2009 KTM 200XCW with low compression, non-operating powervalve, and bald tyres, ha!!
@ did this trail on my 200 last week. Challenging!!!
Nice one!!!
I’m pretty disappointed in your excuse making skills, I’ll have to go somewhere else for that training.
Ha, I think my "excuse making skills" are pretty on-point and strong in this video, ha, ha!!!
@DirtWiseRidingSchool we're always improving our skills each time we go out. No worries, keep riding and enjoy!
That is the goal for many!!!
Get a new bike
Yes sir, I'll get right on to doing that!!!!
