I'm 40 and ride bike parks with my son pretty much every week (Killington, Highland, Thunder or Creek). I always think how I don't have much more time left to ride the way I do. MTB and specifically DH keeps me young, and it's pretty much my only interest in life. Seeing guys like Bill give me a lot of hope and inspiration, and while I know I won't be able to ride the way I do now, it's I comforting to know what's possible!!
Scott’s bike is a pretty cool engineering marvel. I hopefully will never be in a position to need a bike like that however life can be unpredictable and who knows what can happen. Bikes like that are awesome to see that despite physical limitations, people can still get out and rip the trails.
It’s always amazes me (and what a relief) that real world bikes are much more down to earth than the industry marketeers would lead you to believe with the latest and greatest kit. Just run what ya brung and have a blast…the beauty of bikes!
sadly a good idea- I lost a proprietary washer and nut of the rear of my bulls ebike.. couldn't get the spares for months which basically made it a total economic loss until I found similar parts on ebay I could modify to fit the bike.. never buying this brand again, but I am sure other manufacturers have the same problem
@@olik136 That's a bummer but I think threadlok, ensuring the bolts are properly torqued and checking that regularly (every few rides would be a sensible precaution. I think the zip ties are more likely to lead to an issue than just leaving them as they are
If I met someone that told me they needed a gear indicator on a MTB I would laugh. What do you mean you wonder if there's 1 more? You try to shift, it doesn't move, that's the end of it....
The system on Bill‘s bike how does that work the sprocket on his crank looked like it was about 14 teeth. With or without the electric motor he would be peddling like mad to keep up to someone walking
I'd rather have that robot looking armor and be called stupid than be paralyzed. Been seeing too many people with these paralyzing injuries and I wish they wore some type of protection for their spine.
