"Keeping the Wild/Crazy Contained".... and I thought I was container gardening as my guerrilla attempt to grow food in an HOA. Your photos get better and better. They give a whole new perspective on plants that I previously saw as weeds.
Hehe I have Bidens Alba in a pot too, and I loveeeee it!! 😆🙌🏻 I chop it back and make tea with it regularly and it bounces right back and does look really beautiful.
I neeeeed to find frog fruit somewhere.. 🤔 When I was new to gardening, I planted mammoth sunflowers and I dumped a whole package of dollar tree wildflower seeds around the base of them. Nothing germinating except blanket flower! And then all the sunflowers died except the one with blanket flower under it. They were such fab friends!
I bought frog fruit plants for my raised banana bed that is a permaculture setup with comfrey, nettles and lemongrass. I want to add some flowers too. Love the idea of flowers in with milkweed. I was so disappointed about the wasps dive bombing my caterpillars.
You are so right about the red tropical sage spreading out! The pink doesn’t seem to spread as much. But doesn’t matter it’s beautiful and easy to contain. Thanks for the ideas and Merry Vlogmas! 🌱
😅😅 I just planted tropical sage along with other wildflowers about 3 weeks ago. I’m just now seeing this. I’ll have to keep an eye out. Also, I’m so glad I watched this video about the blueberries! We just night some and need to plant it and we were worried about making the rest of our soil acidic if we planted it in the ground when we already have other fruit trees growing. Thank you!
I'm glad you like! The shirt was from Target. Don't know if they sell it anymore. I think I picked it up in 2020. But I love the idea of it... all the state butterfly, tree, wildflower, flower, etc.
I'm really enjoying your frequent videos for the holiday gift to us, your viewers. Thank you! My question is, what are the names of the native nurseries you recommend? I live south of you, and the native nurseries are far and few in this area.
I'm in the Sarasota area, not sure how far south you are, but Sweetbay in Parrish is very good. Also there is one called FL Native plants (near Crowley's) out east off of Fruitville 👍
LOL! I’m a little crazy 😜 I have run clothes with seeds stuck to them through the wash… they always have to be hand picked off 🙄. I love what the plant does but outside a lot on my yard 😬
OMG, the idea of mixing the the plants to protect the caterpillars from the wasp! 🤦♀️ why have I not thought of this before!!! Thank you ❣️
Glad it was helpful! 😄
Frog fruit looks beautiful in a hanging basket. All those tiny flowers 💕
That is an awesome idea!
The butterfly that came at you thought your sunglasses were black-eyed Susans! 🤩
LOL!!!! Probably

Yay!!!! I'm so happy
Planted my frog fruit into my raised banana bed and will plant it elsewhere as it grows!!
Great suggestions. Basic rule for balance for a potted planter is thriller, filler and spiller. You nailed it!
That was great from one Florida native to another
Can you do or do you have a video on ground covering that's very low and walkable?
Worth watching again!
Another great video! It didn’t even dawn on me to plant and mix natives in containers - thanks for the inspiration.
Loved this vlog, Happy Vlogmas 🎄
Happy Vlogmas!!! 👩🌾🦩🥰

So true! I noticed the white didn't spread as much as the red too.
❤🌱🙏🏻 love it
Thanks for sharing. Great video again.

I have some red tropical sage and would love for it to spread. So far no luck.
The peach / white seeds readily.
I'm in pasco county. My yard is super uncovered and sunny. I need help learning what will grow in my sandy soil.
thank you for all of the information! learning so much😊 ALSO where did you get your shirt? would love to gift it to some people for the holidays

How can you tell the good milkweed from the bad one? I have milkweed that nothing will touch - and I do t spray them.
I’ve been trying to grow common milkweed in a large pot, and they keep dying. How often should I water them? Any other advice?
Y salvia took over the whole bed😅😅 i just plated bidens alba there too ..see who wins 🤣
Based on my neighbors garden… Bidens Alba will probably win
Bidens alba?? Who are you? Lol no but it is kinda pretty if you can get over the seeds always in the laundry:)

Yes I agree, they also are like stickers that stick to my dogs fur and very difficult to remove.
