I have a Craftsman double tray I bought at Sears over a decade ago. They have super strong magnets.
You should take a look at the magnetic bowls that Capri Tools have. Order 200.00 of tools this month and get a set for free. 29.99 for a set normally. I really like them! I can stick them vertically on a desk leg and they stay put.
And I HATE having to use goobegone on brand new tools! 🤬

These trays are great for cleaning off bolts, etc. super quick. Just hit it with brake clean and pour gunk into trash. Also, these will save your posterior if your knock your tray over: no crying and looking all over for your parts.

Yeah I just took my transmission pan off, replaced filter, fluid n cleaned the bolts off with brake clean in a magnetic tray

Little off topic but I just got 4 power. Strips just like hf sells at. Lowe's for 11. Bucks each with free shipping. Anyway took the 4" parts tray took the magnetic off with the rubber boots and put them on the backside of the power strip 2 for each one and stuck it on my tool boxes works great and saved a ton of money.

I accumulated a dozen or so of the small round ones when they were HF freebies! Ahh the good ole days at the Chinese tool store. Good review and 👍

surely you have a heat gun amongst your massive tool collection, don't you? Hitting the sticker with some heat before you pull it off should help a lot. Although I agree, you shouldn't have to do that at all.

A trick I learned, you can use the sticker to help remove a good part of the left over adhesive residue; stick it back on and remove then repeat

I got one of those trays a few months back when they had the 20% off all US General accessories coupon. Not bad at all for $15. Even better when cheaper.

Ehh I don’t mind the stickers on new tools on the contrary I take it as a cool freebie...I always leave them on because besides if I’m going to use it to put parts in it I’m most likely going to hit it with brake cleaner and that sticker ain’t going be there at the end...

I've got a tray with a UPC sticker that I gave up on removing. The WD-40 wasn't doing it. I figure it will wear off eventually.

Buy a can of lighter fluid; it's great for removing all kinds of adhesive.

I use WD40 to remove sticker residue. Allow a few minutes for the WD40 to soak in.
