- This video was my first video that was recorded in 60fps with stabilization and color grading! I absolutely enjoyed filming this video almost as much as I enjoyed editing it. I did a lot of races that day and these races stuck out the most. Also, the group I was with had relatively new racers except for the last one where I was racing with someone from Anaheim! New here, are you referring to his body not to lean in? to keep it steady against the seat?
@@JR-sr2rrI am referring to his poor racing line. “Running wide” meaning too much throttle, or too little brake when coming into a corner, causing the vehicle to travel too fast to maintain the ideal racing line when turning.
I hate when the only other fast person on the track starts far away from you and you don’t even get a chance to cross paths

stop leaning into the corners because these karts don’t have much power or grip you want to lean outwards to carry more speed

@@JR-sr2rrHe needs to not lean his body in to the corner, but lean it to the outside. I’m not gonna explain cause there’s a good video about. Ah, I found your Ontario video haha! Did they let you use your own camera? I thought they were pretty stingy about that? I did laps with Aaron before, he really knows what's up at this track and how to really get the best times out of these karts. Hoping to break into a sub 24.5 time at Ontario, but the kart no. meta here is REAL... This one is basically my "home track" since I enjoy this one the most out of the ones near me. Anaheim, Burbank, Ontario are equal distances from my place, but I'll usually choose this one. (Still haven't been to Anaheim actually...) Nice line and racing again!
Yea, it's a pretty cool track, definitely one of my favorites now. it's hard deciding which track i want to go to next.

Like the video. Rule of thumb though, DO NOT lean in on corners. Hope to see you out someday as I live nearby that location and Anaheim!

honestly not sure, i was thinking it's just for consistency having that weight in the same spot and learning how to rotate the kart that way. If you're always shifting your weight you might not be turning the kart and the steering wheel the same each time
@@k1Hernandez i'm sure someone has already answered but either way: basically all karts have a fixed, single axle on the rear. which means in corners, even though the wheel on the inside of the axle has a shorter distance to travel, both wheels physically can only go as fast as the other. karts are actually set up to lift the inside rear tire very slightly to combat this, even if only a tiny amount to let the inside wheel slip more than the outside wheel. this will promote grip on the outside rear tire and lets you corner way more effectively.
you are better off actually letting your body take the g force and leaning to the outside while in cornering!
DUDE! When you get powered down because of another driver has spun don’t roll on the racing line! Hug each corner as tight as you can and drive directly to the next corner. If nobody else is doing that you will gain a lot of track as that is the shortest distance. Of course once you can go full speed again, use the racing line.

How do you look at the international ranking?
Every k1 speed location has the top 50 leaderboard of the last year plastered on a plack, but you can see what your ranking is internationally on every paper that gets printed out after your race.

Vegas actually does have a K1 Speed, only one in the whole state
