Not that hard. It's between the 2nd and 3th shortest distance you can race on here in Belgium. Youngsters here go on races to more then 300 miles. But it's a great job from this bird to come home alone from that short distance.

We Called it Homer Pigeon in India. But in India Particularly Chennai we had Homer Pigeon that coming from 1000 miles within 4 to 5 Days in a Tournament! BTW Grizzle looks like Strong Boy too 💪
Yes some never make it back depending on your training. It’s a huge part of being a good handler if they’re able to keep their racing birds and not lose them

@@gpsloft5868 you want to tell me, that you just get the bird, drive with the car to some Random location in let's say 100km radius, release it and the pigeon autaticly for few hours find the home without any visual training, for example to release it at 2km and little by little to increase the distance? I know how in the past they use courier pigeons to exchange messages in the two World Wide Wara, but I think it is just two, predefined locations like a two close villages and Definitely very close to each other, something like a 5-7km... Now, watching your videos I'm in real shock realizing that, this is not the case! For your birds 7km is a joke! Few minutes Flying over the neighborhood! Does you a scared that they cannot find the way back to home? If we, people are put Somewhere on a 100km distance from initial point it is not possible without technology or asking to go home!

Yes as much as we could because at the end of the day we don’t really know exactly what’s happening once they’re release from the truck
