For those buying Crossway books, it may not be common knowledge but you can get 30 pct off with a free account on their site and then their hard copies come with a free pdf in almost all cases (not bibles). Their discount usually comes pretty close to the ChristianBook or Amazon cost, but the multi format is great. I've probably gotten 10 books from them like that. Commentaries and the like.
Also they give pdfs you don't need an app to access.

I don't know. It would be easy to find out. Their "account" is free and you can start a shopping cart without buying.
Would you consider doing a library tour someday? Or have you done that already? I promise I'd try my best not to be covetous. Haha.
Ha! No, I haven't yet. I've considered it, but I have a few hestiations. One, I don't want to come across as if I'm showing off. Two, my house is largely taken up by the herd of children I have, so my books are in three separate places. However, I watch home library tours A LOT on YT and they are lots of fun, so I will keep thinking about it.

I’m currently working my way through the BBH textbook by Pratico and Van Pelt. They also publish a workbook and a Biblical Hebrew laminated reference chart for nouns and verbs, all of which I’m using to learn the basics.
They also publish a Graded Reader (2nd year level), which I also am using, since my Hebrew studies to date have not followed the normal formal route. I learned Hebrew by informal immersion first, and now am studying the rules behind it, similar to the way I learned English, my mother tongue.
I got all the above via a combination of used bookstores and Amazon.

I feel fortunate to a;ready have several of these including the Bible’s. Unfortunately for me I paid full price.

You mentioned Martyn Lloyd-Jones and John Stott - two wonderful preachers! I especially hold MLJ's book on the Sermon on the Mount in very high esteem. Didn't those two actually get into a bit of a disagreement years ago when they were alive? 🤔
Yes, they did! Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe one confronted the other in a public setting over whether evangelicals should stay in the Church of England to reform it or leave it altogether. Probably MLJ was advocating leaving it but I would need to look it up to be sure.

I found this one on ebay. I reached out to the seller and said (1) could I make an offer on part of the lot, or (2) would you let me know if you decide to break up the lot because I would like to make an offer on part of it. He responded that he would consider selling part of it. Then I told him my budget and that I was looking to pay about 50% of what the books are worth. I have reached out to people before with suggestions like this, which they turned down, but this time the strategy was successful.
