@bailey ford I like to think the original was just as shocking to people back in the 80s as the remake was to contemporary audiences.
The original one the killers look like they were more like a bunch of tribes men or pirates something like that and the remake one are a bunch of mutated radioactive human beings
This film was actually so good. It didn't feel like a low budget b movie in my opinion
The Hills Have Eyes is literally the good version of the Wrong Turn franchise
Fun fact: the actor that plays the father is the guy that played Buffalo Bill in silence of the lambs
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I was like “this movie was great, I hope they liked it.” It’s so good I forget it’s a remake sometimes
I’m not one to get scared of horror movies but for some reason this one really got to me. I literally couldn’t sleep after and I haven’t been able to watch it since
The mutants have the following deformities: Big Brain= suffers from an extreme case of hydrocephalus and goitres, explaining his large distended head and bloated throat. Big Mama= lacks deformities entirely aside from her baldness and obesity. Cyst= suffer from neurofibromatosis, which explains the reddish lesions covering his body. Cyst is first seen by Doug Bukowski dragging a female corpse through the nuclear test village. Goggle= having two patchjob slits on his face in place of a nose, as well as patchy pink and red skin. . Lizard= a severe cleft lip and malformed jaw. Pluto= misshapen head and face and appears to be mentally impaired. Ruby= fingers are fused together, possibly from Syndactyly while the appearance of her face suggests Goldenhar syndrome. Venus and Mercury [two mutant children]= Like Ruby, Venus possibly has Goldenhar syndrome and Mercury has wide eyes and a skin disorder that causes his flesh to appear bluish.

Also the word that Roman was probably looking for, when referring to the dog, was along the lines of “bisection”- to divide into two (usually) equal parts, especially when referring to anatomy.

The terrifying thing about this movie is it's based on true events in Scotland and there was a similar family in Truth or Consequences New Mexico.😱😳

I saw this film because I love Dan Byrd, he was the son in this. I watched it in theaters and loved it so much. I literally did a school project comparing this movie and Final Destination 3 with Ryan Merriman who I also adore XD They were 2 of my favorite actors during that time. I got a big 'ole A+ on it as well, one of the most fun projects I ever did in school 🤣

@@TheMikeLawz it’s a little like this movie but it does get to the point a bit faster (except the remake, it’s about 15 minutes too long) and it’s in the Virginian forest, not the desert
this movie in terms of atmosphere and grittyness is one of my top horror movies and one of the top remakes and this actually scared me
Are you guys gonna watch the second one? It’s not a “good movie” by any means, but I like it a lot! It’s about some national guard soldiers doing some training in the desert where the cannibals live.
As of right now not really any plans on watching the second one

I watched this night time attack till the end when I was 12, my heart was pounding like crazy and my finger tips went kinda numb and it was the only time I ever switched a movie off due to being too overwhelmed by it in my entire life
Man if you thought this one was messed up, the sequel is on a whole other level.

I think we rat on horror movie characters a bit to much like for example when your about to get in a car crash there are probably several things you can do to avoid it but you panic and because of that you make mistakes

You guys would love a horror movie called Reeker. There's also a second one called No Man's Land: The Rise of Reeker. They're both that crazy I can't even explain it in a comment without spoiling it.
I was so disturbed after I saw this, I didn't watch another horror movie again until Saw came out lol. That's saying alot because I used to read Stephen King and true crime murder novels as a child

It is possible to survive a shot to the brain, even a direct shot to the brain. It's rare but some people's brains can link new pathways around the damaged brain tissue to return brain functionality to as normal as possible (depending on the person and which part of the brain was hit), then there are people that survive a shot to head but are left severely brain damaged, and then the most common outcome of being shot in the head for people is death.
It's a slim chance but you can survive having a bullet shot into your brain, even if it is not just a graze.

I honestly first watched this with my mom one night at home and I couldn't finish it. When he bit the birds head off I was done.🤢🤮
This horror, made by a Frenchman (Aya), remake of Craven's masterpiece puts reflections on American society, the very evident American way of life (Democrats and Republicans) are well represented in the boy and in the father of the family) and also offers subsequent ideas.
