I have version 1.4.8 and I have the polygon tool on the menu bar. When I open the properties box and go to Shape > Edit a box opens called "Nodes" not the box shown at 2:14 called "Polygon Properties".
I don't have the options appear that is appearing in your edit mode.. specially I am using the same version I used before and I did created round corner square with this I have a file save and reopen to double checked it don't know why can't do that anymore?
it seems in 1.4.8 you have to choose your polygon settings before it's created by going into polygon properties from the tool bar. Double clicking on it after it's created opens up a very different menu to the one shown in the video. Has anyone found a way to edit number of corners, for example in 1.4.8?
I must have downloaded the wrong version of Scribus because I don't have the same options appearing. I don't see anything to change the number of sides for a polygon or to turn it into a star. Maybe it's because I have a 32-bit system and your version is for 64-bit. I keep getting an error message each time I open Scribus though I can still create files. Maybe I'll try removing and re-installing.
@@TJFREE It looks like I never installed a file called ghost writer - not sure if that is the problem but I just downloaded an exe file for 32 bit windows
Jim, i was frustrated with my version not having all those nice polygon options that TJ is graciously showing us here, but then I discovered that (on the latest version) clicking on the small triangle on the right side of the polygon icon of the tools bar will open a small window for you, called 'Properties'", and there you will find the options of "adding corners" as TJ portrays it here. Cheers!
Jim Kernicky mine’s 1.4.8 and it has the “add corners” option unscrolling, not like the guy in the vid but from the toolbar. Which version do you have?
Your explanation is vgood , but the Scribus program is one of the worst design environments, something very annoying compared to, for example, Corel Draw
Shapes and the properties in Scribes gives some nice results. Liking this.

Does anybody knows why the option "combine polygons" doesn't work? I'm using 1.5.5 version. Thanks

Hi Jim. I'm not sure about this. Sometimes the 32 and 64 bit are different versions of the software. Re-installing is a good step.

I have e person photo and want the text wrap around the person photo not the picture frame. Can this software do that?
