This is by far and away my favourite vid on this channel. I never leave comments but this was so interesting and varied I had to. I could watch a whole series on sports psych stuff alone. Thanks for making it!

Massive props to you for being so transparent on your need to improve your mental game. An obvious area to focus on for every golfer but not the easiest to look critically inward and share it for thousands of people.

My favourite golf channel on TH-cam. Love how you’re driven to improve your golf. Best swing on TH-cam also!!
I use a 19degree hybrid for the exact same reason fits between my 3 wood and 4 iron.

Yes I have a hybrid and love it. Taylormade M2 3 hybrid 19 degree. Replaced my 5 wood and works as my 3 iron as well. Also gave me another slot in the bag for a 60 degree lob wedge. Tossed the 5 wood I didn't use much anyway and gave me 2 clubs I love to hit. Keep the videos coming Pete! Love them all!

I don't use a hybrid because I can never strike the face correctly. Recently I've gotten better, but I always will take a long iron over a hybrid. I'm just more comfortable with the swing path of my irons.

I have always found Personality profiling to be fascinating and challenging in equal measures. I spent much of my career working for US & German multinationals so went through several intense profiling sessions, you learn so much about yourself that they are well worth the pain of completing them. Amazingly most of the time I still got the job! lol

Oldest club in my bag is an ancient Cleveland Halo in 16degrees. I can hit that thing high, low, from the left and from the right. I never use it on a peg, just chuck it on the ground and belt it. I play on a really windy, elevated course and it is so versatile. Never really hit any other hybrids I like. Every so often I consider putting a modern chunky 2 iron in instead but the Halo remains.

LOVE the series Pete. Between you, Rick and Matt my game and enjoyment of golf has SKYROCKETED (prolly because I've dropped my handicap by 3 shots). I'm using an Adams Idea pro 4 hybrid at the moment. Funny story, I bought it from a guy at the the driving range I frequent for $40. He hit a bushell of balls with it and said, "This club sucks" probably for each bad shot he hit with it. He asked me if I wanted to buy it for $50. My response was, "I only have $40." He took the $40. the next day I used it on the first Tee at a scramble with my friends and hit it about 205. LOVE it.

The Quiet Eye that they went over was something I started working on. I was routinely shooting mid 80's, low 80's. I started doing that and now shooting mid 70's. I have noticed when I don't concentrate on doing quiet eye I end of shooting worse. It is so hard to try and do every time when you aren't used to it. It is just too easy to jump up and hit the ball. Quiet eye was, well, eye-opening...

I don't use a hybrid, I also often don't use a fairway wood either. My bag right now is Driver, 18 degree driving iron then 3 iron down. I'm probably missing a trick by not having any metals, but for the course I play I find it's just wasted space in the bag as they never come out. That, and I just find the long irons more fun to hit, and fun is the most important part for me!
