Looks amazing. I would suggest for your next one, if you're ever comissioned to do it again, is to not have anything solid like the holders you have for the cue. As the case moves this can scuff/dent the cue, especially if it's dropped. Also, it would be good to have some sort of protection in the ends of the cases so it doesn't get scuffed when stood up on the floor.
Besides those minor details, this has really made me want a case like this!

Suggestion for your mitred spline jig. Have you thought about toggle clamps at either end?
On the subject of suggestions, there seems to be a lot of dust from your table saw at times and even more from your belt sander, despite your extraction. I cant see how extraction could be made better on your belt sander so maybe an air fed respirator such as the 3m?
Like eyes and a couple of other things, we only have a pair of lungs!
    Nice box 👍👍👍👍

Graham, supprised you didnt use the new Bandsaw for your re-sawing! Much less waste and easier cut

Great project. I am sure it will bring more commissions. Yes, I love the Poli finishes very simple to use.

    Couple questions for you.....
    1. When a client gives you "freedom of design," do you struggle getting started? I suffer from analysis paralysis and tend to have trouble making decisions in the direction I want to go.
    2. I'm also a K3 user, and I find the over arm dust collection options are all rubbish. I wonder if moving the suction to the front of the blade would capture more of the dust.
Beautiful case and nice use of jigs. Well done

"Analysis paralysis" sounds like me. I can make anything from a drawing but always scratched my head on design! Its proportion i struggle with.

No, and yes. No for the majority of this order, it was just the hardware I really struggled with, 'I like it but will they like it?' running around in my head for far to long, it was almost to late to get it delivered before Christmas. 🤣 and yes I have been scratching my head about dust collection in front of the blade, I'm thinking a seperate vac with a wide yet thin inlet??

@GTWoodshop I've been thinking the same thing for dust collection. Some sort of over arm setup but with the hose angled toward the front of the blade. I think a 4" port on the side of the blade would obstruct your view, impede processing material, and may create too much suction, potentially causing the guard to pull into the blade. I wish I had the time to dedicate to a project like this. For the time being, I'll have to live with wearing the dust

Well done sir, a very beautiful result that will be cherished for years to come. I couldn't help but wonder how many screws are in the bottom of the jar. Merry Christmas. Steve

Sorry young man but as a pro player myself I would chuck that in the bin. It is too heavy to lug around, only two clasps are needed and the handle goes on the sides with the clasps. Yeah it looks nice but is just impractical and the chaps cue will be a two piece cue. Also the baize should cover all wood inside.
