    Great advice for the gen 1. You are having me re-think a few upgrades for the rear suspension

    I’m a big fan of the Gen 1 Raptor. I have a 2014 SVT RAPTOR myself-And have been wondering why yours hasn’t been around. Looking forward to this build. Thanks guys please make more videos like this!

    Saved this for later, just bought a 2014 Raptor scab with 60k miles and shocks haven’t ever been rebuilt.
    Debating upgrading.. only thing holding me back is the quality of the truck overall. Definitely needs some frame reinforcement.

    @8:05 when you install the inner bolt for the spherical rod end with the threads/nut forward, that is not the best way. General mechanics and racing experience will teach you to always install fasteners (when possible) so that the fixed head points in the direction of travel so inertia (or gravity in a vertical orientation) will retain the fastener in the event the nut comes loose and falls off. I know you can argue the dust boot would prevent the bolt from backing out but I wouldn't rely on that alone. There have been a number of times in my racing and wrenching career that his has proven effective. A properly torqued fastener should rarely loosen but it happens and when it does you want to use every trick possible to retain the component its holding onto.

    It’s crazy that rpg charges so much for their parts but won’t even assemble them for you

    What brake rotors are those on the front and have you been pleased with them?

    Are those RPG UCA tolerate 2” lift upfront ?

    • @stage3motorsports
      @stage3motorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They probably would work for a 2" lift but they are designed for the the already leveled raptor stance.

  • @drainmonkeys385

    Yea. You can easily spend 3-4 thousand dollars per side for your front end .. it ought to last a million miles of normal driving

    • @stage3motorsports
      @stage3motorsports  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With these additional parts we should be covered for many miles on road, but you never know what you can run into offroad

    You are doing it wrong.... you need to toss that Dewalt and get a Milwaukee,, then you can warranty the work
