I've sung opera. I played French Horn. I've performed jazz, country, classical, rock, been singinging since childhood 60 years ago. In other words, I've experienced a RICH musical life. This band and this song are up towards the top.
Not the best Song i think but still so good. Erkin Koray's Cemalim version is fantastic. He is Pioneer of Turkish Psychedelic Rock. But its too hard to cover this folk song while there is a Legends shadow over the song. They have done it succesfully.
Right? The rest of the songs of this performance are very well done! I love them and I think this sounds better than the album versions. This performance sounds so alive!

I think Altin Gün is the best ambassador for Turkish culture to Europe and the western world. I also think Turkey as a secular democratic nation has a part to play in establishing peace and understanding between the west and the middle east and between the EU and Russia.

Since I discovered the bassist put an ad on facebook looking for musicians to start aproject of turkish psychodelic rock, I can't stop thinking how much fun he is having playing the bass now, knowing that the project went far, very far. :) Makes me happy.

Some songs top the other this turned to be outstanding! Altin gün infuze their own style and nixed with turkish folk conglomerates to something new this is fantastic
As a Turk, I can say that this group and the others are aiming for something that other average singers, etc. cannot achieve: authenticity because like Koray's version of the song the core is Turkish and it structures itself upon that with different motives like funk, groove, etc. Elinize sağlık :)
