I love this interview! Liam so funny and chatty - and Noel looks like he's going nuts because he can't talk. But I like the relationship between the brothers, you can tell that they both like each other. From 3:52-4:16 - Love the end of that where Liam says "No, you don't" . Liam was never jealous of Noel. @George Thomson - It's not you - Liams' personality was so open and friendly and much happier then. He was so funny and he seems genuinely nice - not mean or a cunt or arrogant. I never get the hate on Liam - and people thinking he's horrible.
I remember seeing this in 1994 and had never heard of them. I remember thinking they're a soccer casual band, the first ever. They looked pretty cool and then I heard their music and thought the mix of the image and the music, they've gotta have a great chance. I love them both, I do...it seems like now, you have to pick one or the other. I loved Noel, always thought Liam was the one ruining things...but then I watch these and I see how pompous Noel could be. I don’t know...their egos clash, but they balance each other out, too. Wish they’d just end the bs.
i see where you're coming from, but as a songwriter in a band I know how frustrating it can be when you're the one doing most of the work and get no credit for it. You can't really blame Noel for being irritated and wanting to leave the band after years of being underappreciated and portrayed to be in his brother's shadow.
You're clearly trying to choose sides here and trying to over analyse things. There's a weird theme of fans like you ruining videos by bringing up this nonsense. No one said this shit before Liam's comeback, its only after Liam's comeback that he's spewed this crap about Noel being the worst person ever and fans casting out the littlest of things that he does in a negative way. Liam's brainwashed so many people it's not even funny
I absolutely love this interview of them together, just coz they both seem so innocent and naive and humble especially Liam and the interaction between the brothers. Liam looks so adorable
This interview means a lot to me! They were just ordinary lads with dreams of making it big! And maaaan did they become big in the 90's! Amazing! X Liam: I wanna live in a big house - Noel: as long as it's nowhere near my big house! - Liam: next door mate ;) - Noel: No chance! ;) Amazing! X
Liam never changed. Did he look happier in certain interviews? Yea, but that's life, we go through ups and downs. Liam always stayed true to himself. We only mature and make smarter decisions as we get older. At least we hope we do. Noel sort of drifted into a difference space, and I believe he used his younger brother's crazy partying and rock and roll lifestyle as an excuse to move on and be by himself as a solo artist. He just wanted all credit and attention to himself. Oasis was always Liam's band even if Noel wrote those amazing songs.
Liam never changed his essence (tho he does look happier less bitter here), it's insane watching this now, even before being as massive as they were, he's always really been himself. and Noel like "i write all the songs" and sarcastically "I owe my career to this man" well you kind of do dude, you 2 were in a BAND not alone.
We will never know, but Noel would probably have had a career in music, even without Oasis. What would Liam have done without Noels songwriting? Noel wrote ALL of Oasis' music. Yes Liam had a great voice, but he said himself, they were going nowhere without Noels songs.
@@yetidh9 he's brilliant yes. But none of them would've been as massive as they became without the other one. love NG but some of his HFB new stuff i just do not enjoy as much.
I love how Noel recently suggested that all the fighting and negativity in Oasis came from Liam, yet I have never seen a single interview when Noel isn't ridiculing and putting down his younger brother to other people (see 2:28). I used to like Noel and think Liam was a dumb thug, but now I realise how incredibly young he was at the time, as well as clearly having ADHD and impulse-control issues. The insane amount of media attention and adulation he received at that age would have been the icing on the cake.
You've barely seen many interviews then. Noel has said many nice things about Liam as well. Calling him a great frontman etc and also defending him from George Harrison criticism
Liam has this childlike enthusiasm which I think is so adorable. He seems so happy here. Noel comes off a bit condescending and sarcastic when he interacts with him in some moments in this interview. he rarely compliments liam but when he does its with this sarcastic undertone and I think liam realized that when he said "no you don't" to Noel's "I owe my career to him" :/ you'd know it's def sarcasm if you read/watch his interviews from this period, or the whole 90s basically.. But there are some sweet moments between them here as well ❤
Big man Noel gives the interviewer the 'difficult rock star' treatment with brooding silences and faux-trippy answers. Liam steps in to answer the questions properly then Noel gets the huff. "I write all the songs" he says. Do you, Noel? Why feel the need to say that when you haven't been asked? The thing that destroyed this band was always Noel's jealousy of Liam. And there was no need, they both brought different things to the band, but that wasn't enough for Noel.
No one said this jealousy crap before Liam's comeback. Thing that destroyed the band was Liam's terrible attitude towards Noel, but you're obviously not going to mention that. And it still continues with Liam repeatedly taking jabs towards Noel on twitter and bringing his kids into the feud as well. So what if Noel was jealous, at least he's humble enough to say that he wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Liam. But Liam is so full of himself that he wouldn't even admit that...
@@siddh781 'No-one said this jealous crap before Liam's comeback'. Liam's album 'As You Were' was released in 2017.
