Hey Man Mountain Mike, keep this in mind brother, sun reflection. I had my inner fearing painted gloss black. The outer faring is snake venom. The black is a little reflective but that white is going to be VERY reflective, especially when you are riding with the sun behind you. Take Ol’ Cornbread’s word on that. I also think the gloss black would work really well in contrast with the white. I think you should consider gloss black on the fork mount on the front. That would look really good in my opinion. As far as Factory Match goes, they painted my Klock Workz front fender snake venom. They did a great job in a timely manner. The part was shipped to me well packaged and I was and am very pleased with the quality of the paint. It matches the rest of my snake venom RKS. BTW, I really enjoyed the live show last Tuesday. That’s all I have for now. Y’all peace out and ride safe. I’m out for now.
I saw a RG with a color matched inner fairing, and it was really sweet. You can see it on my last Sturgis video from this year. I would recommend the color match inner fairing. My CVO has the black color match (Raven Metallic), but you kinda don't notice it after a while. I think if you had white, it would really pop.
I do like your suggestions for the front end color match pieces. Clean a subtle. For the inner fairing, while the color match will look amazing, I believe the gloss black is the way to go. It will help with the contrasting of that very large screen and accent all of the other gloss black that you have or will add in the future
Bro, The chin piece is killer. Got mine on order. The black side cover does prevent wife's boot from scratching up paint. The front Fender drop would change the sportier look for "old school" not my taste as I moved off my 2008 Heritage look specifically for the new look. I love my SG 2024. Some other thoughts: 1. Trashing kick plate for the front radiator 2. 10" Klock Works windscreen and 3. The gas cap opens the wrong way (to the rear) thus preventing easy control of gassing up. The Hoffmann Designs gas cap assembly not only cures this issue but has the look.
I did my test drives on a pair of white Glides, a Road and Street. That color is just amazing but in the end I chose the faster color, Blue Burst As for the lower piece, I preferred it squared off with the black piece present because that lower portion is indented too much. With the inner fairing I would color match as that metallic white will hold up better not showing micro fine scratches and swirls like the gloss black will.
That was definitely a good upgrade. Looks really good! I have my radiator cover paint matched on my '24 road glide in the same color. Makes a difference. I'm kind of on the fence on the inner fairing painted white. Thinking it may be to much white, idk can't decide.
I really like your videos but I'm stumped about 2 weeks ago u couldn't afford a new bike until you sold your old sg then a week later u bought a new street glide I guess Im missing something here.i work my ass off and I sure can't afford a new sg and not only that I can't afford a cam for my 18 heritage classic 114' but oh well keep up the great work you do
The old bike is for sale still, I was able to come up with money down another way. I still need to sell it but I am not giving it away either. The deal they made me was to good to wait on, by way I have 1 full time job and besides TH-cam I do side work on nights and weekends, I also eat PB&J for Lunch and drink water. I take one, maybe 2 nights off a week at most. Good luck on the Cam maybe Santa will hook you up.
Under headlight looks great white, side panel I like the white showing. Inner fairing, imo gloss black might be easier on the eyes. Would the color match white glare? Idk I’d maybe want to sit on a bike with the white b4 I decided. 🤙🏼🇺🇸
That’s cool! Thanks for the info. I saw that black plastic part when I cleaned my bike the first time and thought that it should have been the same color as the bike. The white does look way better than the stock matt black for sure! But $140? Ouch!! I asked for the discount code. I’ll wait and see what happens. I love the matched white inner fairing. But as mentioned it might cause a glare problem. Plus that’s a lot of $. I’d leave the side covers alone. I made bar and shield logos with a wire EDM to put there. They are gonna be painted onyx white and carefully epoxied on. One of a kind! Thanks again Mike!
My thought the other part under the headlight leave it black so the new piece and “batwing” standout better. The radiator cover i do not like it color matched. The inner fairing I like the shiny black NOT the all white.
I have exact bike. I'm going to order the small paint matched headlight piece but for the white one $140 and use your won clips. Absolutely ridiculous. That part should be $50. Just robbery. They know we have no other choice.
True, but you don’t ever ask a friend what they think? I learn for the community engagement, maybe someone who has already done it with have valuable input that I may not have considered.
Yeah that piece and the inner fairing shouldn't have that plastic piece like that. Color matched or gloss would look much better. All these mfgs seem to do this. There's parts on my indian that could have been better. I guess that's what's makes Motorcycles fun to customize and also why it's an expensive hobby.
Did you happen to question why after paying an extra $1350 to have the blacked out version. Those rotten POS’s at Harley put chrome levers on your saddle bags? Answer, because they don’t give a rats ass about their customers!
Color match all the way!! That white one you put up on the screen with the color match inner fairing looks killer!!
I know! That Bike had silver flames on it too...
I second that.
Color matched for the inner fairing.
Amsoil Adam did his in one of his videos. What a difference.
Have the same color in the RG, color so much more rich in person. Another great video and hope you and your bride are well
I like the black covers on the side covers. For some reason it just looks sporty.

@@cornbread8246 thanks buddy! Definitely gotta think that inner fairing thru
Storm Trooper look with the white inner Fairing, looks good… but think I would opt for the Gloss Black
Color match all the parts you mentioned!!
Looks great!!
Thanks I’m loving the bike!
I guess this is your last new one
I have never heard of Factory Match until now. Thanks for the heads up.
I got a fender over a year ago from them that was perfect!
That spoiler looks fantastic. You don’t know you need to change it until you change it. Way better. I’d do the gloss black the inner.
it is going to be a tough decision.

Thanks a lot for spending my money! Damn now i need this

@@RidingintheOzarks am a subscriber. buy a klock Werks windshield. I just got the 10" dark smoke. looks awesome!!
@@zavlo72 it’s on my wish list! Thanks for the support!

I think the white inner fairing will be blinding when the sun is reflecting on it. Trust me.

That is super nice! Love it ! I don't think you would be wrong either way with gloss black or the white inner fairing.
It is going be a tough decision...
@RidingintheOzarks either way I'm jealous.

Bike is looking great. Color match inner fairing. Also color match cover piece above cow bells.
I kinda like the color matched inner fairing. That chin piece under the headlight makes a big difference in the looks of the bike.
Thanks XAN

Looks awesome. Definitely a good idea to change that.
Thanks 👍
looks alot better under headlight . paint inner fairing white looks so clean and makes screen pop
Color match on the inner fairing. Definitely!
Thanks!
Looks great Mike I think gloss black for me it breaks it up a bit and looks clean.😎
Yeah it is tough decision.
That looks great !
It does!
Gloss black dash would be sharp but harder to keep clean. I left the bottom of my side panels black because I do like that shape underneath.
I think I am going to leave the Black a well
That looks great! Love it.
It really does!!
I saw it on Classic Harley Davidson in Leesport, PA, on Memorial Day Weekend I believe
I think gloss black but white looks clean
Looks great!
Color match looks great for the fairing

I wondered same thing about doing white with this pearl....

Go with the white. CVO’s have the color matched inter faring and that look is beautiful
I think so too!
Love it !
Where do I get that headlight piece ?
Thefactorymatch.com
On my 2020 Indian Chieftain, the dash and chin is colour matched from the Factory as standard!
Looks great
Thanks!
My thought the other part under the headlight leave it black so the new piece and “batwing” standout better. The radiator cover i do not like it color matched. The inner fairing I like the shiny black NOT the all white.
Looks great. The clips you had to remove and install should have came with the new part.
Maybe but it was super easy to move them, I wonder if HD won't sell them or something or if they add to much to the cost...
That piece should have been there from the factory. Too much matte plastic on these 24s
Which color would reflect the sun less, white or black?
My old bike was black and it never bothered me but I can't say for sure white will be any worse...
Yeah that should definitely come painted from the factory. They didn't even paint it on the CVO SG!
Gloss black for the inner fairing
Yeah i took that black piece off, definitely in white inner fairing
How about a klock works windshield
I am working on it but gotta save up funds first. I am hoping Santa brings me one if they go onsale this next week.
Gloss black for me.
Colour mate inner fairing
white would be too bright in the sun?
Might have been just as easy for Harley to install, you think?
Color match it the white really pops
Let Paul change the inner to a white onyx or you could buy it from Harley and try it yourself
Gloss black
Color match

I totally agree with you. I just looked that OEM part up on H-D's website. 14 dollars and change.
Your bike, your money, the choice is yours.
Why would you ask the audience?

It’s a $20 fix already ordered them.
Looks like an extra $100 out of your wallet.
