Thanks for the tip! For me, I've learned that I have a much better chance of making a return if I start with my eastern forehand grip. If the serve goes to my forehand, I can just turn and hit. If the serve goes to my backhand, I always change my grip anyway when I turn. I used to start with a continental grip on the return but that led me nearly always chipping the forehand return even when I had time to drive it. I can do a forehand chip with my eastern forehand grip, so there's not much difference for me blocking back a hard serve to my forehand. Like you said, it depends on the player. ;)
