I have not read that book yet. Although given the topic of the book, I have read similar books that have a chapter on how America's (specifically geographical) origins makes it powerful, like Tim Marshall's "Prisoners of Geography", which is definitely worth reading. There are several Zakaria books I want to read. The one I currently own, "Age of Revolutions", I intend to read probably sometime in the coming year.

Unfortunately, apart from some WW2 military history, I have not read many military books. But if you want a detailed account of why the Allies won WW2 then I would recommend Richard Overy's "Blood and Ruins." It's very long at about 900 pages, and tediously detailed at times, but it provides mountains of evidence for analyzing the outcome of world war 2.
