Well done Iona you carried the intro perfectly
Cammy, your point on police, policing in 70s and into 80s spot on
Knew our local Bobby's, had a kick a couple of times, deservedly lol
We had in construction, a duty of care, when it came to health and safety of the guys on site, surely, frisking someone like your boozer, is necessary for your health and safety, as you proved, and Iona pointed out, that situation could have gone south and you could have been hurt
Woke is CRAZY but it won't change until their own families are the victims, but then the police will always be in the wrong
    Fantastic podcast again
    Thank you both
    Geoff

Well done with the intro and closing chat, Iona. You're holding your own with the two big boys during the interview too.😊. Great positive and educational visit with Wallace. Wonderful to see people your age (I'm really old!!) passionate and enthusiastic about life and working to improve things for everyone, not just selfishly looking out for your own well-being. Congrats to all of you.💓

The Soil Academy in the US has been showing farmers that conventional farming is killing the soil biology necessary to grow soil. The farmers that can no longer afford the conventional inputs and sprays are managing to use cover crops and animal impact to improve soil, add diversity, and prepare fields for growing crops that no longer need the inputs. When the farming industry can wean themselves from the chemical companies they rely on for fertilizers, and the various pesticides, herbicides, and other …cides, that money saved can go a long way into improving animal welfare and soil health to provide the nutrient dense foods that science is finding lacking with conventionally produce foods from big ag corporations. Check out what Will Harris in Georgia and Gabe Brown in North Dakota farming. Also, investigate the work of Peter Byck and his documentary, “Roots so Deep…” also really pleased at the new tagline, “We are all…Fed by Farmers.” Thanks for all you do. ❤

Another great podcast with a lovely guest. Education is so important in any area and if Wallace is going that way, then farming can only benefit from it. Now Cammy 😊 Don't go holding back now lovely 😂 I love your passion about the stupidity of 'woke' and I know you didn't actually say that, but it is what it is. You can't say good morning to anyone these days with being slapped with some critisism or other. Lots of education on farming and the restrictions on the police these days. Loved it and watched it twice. And Iona, you did brilliantly with the introduction 🥰🥰

Absolutely agree with Cammie on this stop and search AND there should be fear but respect for any authority…. Is it “wokeness” that’s done it or is it the power of the criminal minds “buying” media etc???

Speaking on kids being scared of the police, touching on that, when my ex did do what he did to me, he did it infront of our kids , my eldest was 4 he’s 10 now and still remembers it clearly, he was terrified of the police for years and I’d get angry at people telling their kids oh il give you to the police… whereas I was teaching mines not to be scared, I took it apon myself to go into a police station and spoke to them about helping me help him see that the police aren’t the enemy so they came to my house and got to know him and our story, we went to the police station and had a walk about , learning about the job etc etc guess what, he learned quickly that he didn’t need to be scared of them and now at 10 he’s determined he’s going to be a police officer, so please stop telling kids the police are going to take them away and what not ❤

Another enjoyable conversation QUESTION could or do farmers have grade 6 and up to high school students who can get experience or exposure to agriculture as a course or even an apprenticeship in

    • @FedByFarmersPodcast
      @FedByFarmersPodcast  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

You can study agriculture in a classroom setting, it's not in high schools, it would be through a community college. We do have colleges that are specificly for agricultural education, but it's not a subject in schools.

NZ back in 70’s had all school children have some kind of animal or plant 4H project to appreciate agriculture a little bit
Some high schools in Ontario have agriculture classes but don’t think there is work experience or more than day visits to see the animals Big News city kids would get diarrhea from drinking raw milk and farmers would get raked over the coals

A few decades ago a local Reverend/Church Minister, who had failed his driving test several times, went to Kuwait on holiday and appeared back with a Kuwait driving licence which he promptly exchanged for a UK one. A local wag commented that he did not know if the Minister's licence was for a Camel or a Dromedary.🤣

School children should have to go out litter picking in their area. A lot can be taught whilst doing it.
