    Dude I love that you are planning your space with a rendering program. I just stare at my room for a while and imagine "what it could look like!" haha

      Don't worry, I do plenty of staring around my room too. You've already got a pretty sweet space though!

    Great to see that you are as much a hoarder as every other Lego enthusiast 😆 looking forward to the new setting!

    Really enjoy your videos. I look forward to seeing the progress with your space. I like the idea of opening up the closet, good use of space. You have a good system going in your storage. I should be doing that too.

    I love you. I will never go to that storage unit. The chaos. I can’t.

      With these fold-flat seats, I can fit so much LEGO in this bad boy

    Please rethink on the temperature control. I have a lot of oxidized LEGO from being stored similarly.
    Establishing a parts collection is very empowering; I highly recommend.

      That's good to know, maybe I should plan to move to an indoor unit. Might as well get a larger size space while I'm at it, right...

    I see you are a saver of the boxes, Josh from Josh Builds Stuff. Could I recommend investing in a Police Box aka. the TARDIS. It's bigger inside thus infinite space. The box big enough for all boxes . Boxception if you will. 🐾

    temperature control, maybe, noticed really strong plasticity oil smell after storing Lego in a warm garage for a time, smell wasn't really apparent until the container storing Lego was opened though

    Thanks for sharing. Lego legit sets here in the Philippines does not come cheap. My first legit one is the BTTF set released this year. Hope I can cop more in decent price, saw some good sets and added to my wishlist!, coming from a newbie ish but not that new to lego , was able to buy bootlegs before, but Lego brand and quality is really different... as well as the price lol

    As someone with a very messy room, filled with LEGO, this is super helpful! Also this is off topic, but on April 1st I saw a guy at target who could pass as your doppelgänger!

    I have a few suggestions, this is how I do my lego sorting. I use a rubbermaid storage bin( I buy the 38L or 10 gallon)( in Canada its about 15$) , I get some ziploc bags, I take my duplicate sets or some other sets a part, I dont have a particular bin for each theme. The bigger sets like set # 60306 city street market, I only kept a fraction of the set. All I want form that set was the light repair truck and the road plates and some interesting parts. (What I don't keep I parted that out for mocs. Some sets I just buy for parts) and I haven't done this yet but the peices I dont use, I'll drop it of at salvation army for the less fortunate kids. For those sets, I discard the instructions manuals. Currently I'm more into mocs such as cars, trucks, sometimes trailers and some small side builds. I keep oatmeal boxes to store my side builds.

    I love the humor. As someone who now has 3 bedrooms dedicated to LEGO (the kids really shouldn't move back home anyway), I laughed at so many of your lines.
    I think most people who are big into LEGO have some OCD tendencies.

    hay y'all Josh. I had most my Lego in storidge. arfter munth s just moved it all to the house. I was just lucky I got given office room .for my Lego City and put the tub under the city. plus all the Lego mini figs and other builds in my bed room on desplay. it's okay size room to fit all the storidge Lego in yar office. my Lego room is about as big as your s.

    Outdoor storage unit with sheetmetal? If it gets too hot in there, your lego will start turning yellow and it will all be ruined.

    • @JoshBuildsStuff
      @JoshBuildsStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought it yellowed from sun exposure? If heat can cause that as well, I'll have to move inside for sure

    I don’t know what your set up is but if you have enough space in your back yard why not get a nice shed to store your Lego. Maybe make it a Lego room. Beats paying $1200 a year for storage.

    • @JoshBuildsStuff
      @JoshBuildsStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd love to have the collection closer but the backyard just doesn't have enough space for what I need. My wife is more than happy for us to pay $100/mo to get the LEGO out of the house.

    What do you plan on doing with it all. Will you ever sell any? Or just store it for eternity. I guess when your kids are grown up it may all be worth a small fortune.

    • @JoshBuildsStuff
      @JoshBuildsStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I won't sell. I've tried that in the past and it's more work than it's worth. I do have dreams of disassembling sets and using the parts for MOCs but that requires effort. Maybe I'll bury it all under a mountain and sleep under it à la Smaug from The Hobbit.

      @@JoshBuildsStuff 🤣sounds like a plan. Either that or you will become a Lego Hoarder and one day you will be in your Lego storage warehouse,looking for your long lost Delorean, u see it and reach for it, but oh no you start a Legolanch and it all falls down and buries you. It will take a week for rescuers to dig you out. 🤣
