I like watching your videos seem like a close reflection of what I do for work, I am in cybersecurity as well. I also drive a white model 3. Its true about what you said about certifications, I have A+, networking +, and my security+ not one of these landed me a job just because I have them. I thought since I put in the work and got these certifications, they should have just given me the job. My entitlement was next level. Everyone roadmap is different I have met some very smart individuals, with no degree, or certifications but are leaders in their field of work.
I appreciate you watching ! Yes man a lot of people think certifications equals a job but it doesn’t work like that. The job market is tough right now I understand that but it’s never just been super easy to land a role because it’s so competitive. Especially remote positions.
I bought hundreds of these docking stations the dell wd19tbs it worked with my work laptop and my personal surface pro my mac m1 air. make sure your computer can support video from usb -c and changing.
Thanks definitely will check it out!
Been working in the cyber security field as an IT Security Specialist for about 6 months now. It’s an entry role with most of my day to day being GRC tasks as well as incident response. Any tips or advice you can give me from the GRC side of things? Maybe things you wish you would’ve known when you first started?
Only thing I can tell you since we kind of in similar positions is to start thinking about your next move now while you are in that entry level position. GRC is not a forever position for me.
Right where you been man?! Glad you’re feeling better
😂😂😂😂
I just stumbled on your channel! I’m an IT Admin for going on 4 years, I was considering GRC. What are your honest opinions on it? You can try a KMV switch, you can switch between both devices if you get one that has 2 USB-C cables. Or a Dell dock WD19, I use them at work for my customers 😊
I honestly like it. You get to work with so many different teams. Especially in my current role working in Risk. I’m exposed to a lot and I get to see how each team work together to make sure the company is safe. And I will check out those docking stations
Glad you are feeling better. What are you studying in school?
Appreciate it! I’m getting my masters degree in Enterprise Networks and Cloud Computing
Ngl Amazon got the best doc station fr
