do you interpolate videos or de-interlace them?
Obviously I deinterlace them. About 95% of the time, unless there is something wrong with the fields. Otherwise there's no point in interpolating.

@@RiccardoRivi No, it depends on the deinterlace plugin you use. There are many of them, some are fast and some are slow, they retain higher quality result.
Interlaced picture consists of two fields that are twice as small in height. In the video they are stretched to full height and put together. You can't interpolate interlaced footage anyway because of the lines and combing artifacts, you have to remove the interlacing by deinterlacing.

I remember watching this (and i recorded it in a VHS tape) in an argentinian TV cable channel in january 1998...it chills my spine to watch it again 22 years later! Thank you very much!
