- I recently had the privilege of checking out three amazing GLITCH levels! As always with these glitches, a big shout-out has to go to the entire Mario Maker 2 glitch hunting community. Most, if not all, of these glitches are found as a collaborative effort of many talented individuals not just the creators making the levels. And to that I say thank you to the dedicated glitch hunters who continue to make this game amazing and finding things that Nintendo DEFINITELY didn't intend to be found!

The Game Genie Technique is truly my favourite glitch in SMM and SMM2 so far. Great video, Dave!
The game genie technique is the same reason I can never regain my dignity. (And Mario maker 2 online privileges.) And yet I still love it

To clear this up for everyone, the game genie technique is a glitch from super Mario maker 1, but we have found ways to do it in super Mario maker 2, it lets you make a item think it’s in two containers at once, like pipes clown cars and many more, this glitch is also mostly save safe, but I recommend to not upload levels with the glitch!

I think Retro Game Mechanics Explained has a video covering a similiar glitch in M64. The same thing seems to be happening here
Been homeless for the past month or so and honestly watching such a wholesome and fun guy playing and genuinely enjoying Mario Maker is one of the few things that brings me joy; and something to look forward to. Thank you so much for what you do and thank you community as well for always being so kind and welcoming.

The glitches in the game are undoubtedly the most incredible levels in SMM2 IMO. And it raises an important question: how do we stop Nintendo from patching this janky stuff out?

The game genie glitch makes you able to put things into other things like a bowser in a pipe. The POW "elevator" works by taking out the pow out of a clown car, while still leaving them connected so they pow will try to teleport to the car, but walls stop it. It has been known for quite some time but a way to upload levels with it is new.

Hey dude! Just wanna say how much i love and appreciate the fact that you're wholesome with your content. So many TH-camrs these days do nothing but swear, and do things that are inappropriate. I always wonder how many takes a TH-cam person does when they get fancy and look around at stuff in the video, like how Dave did at the start with the Glitched graphic. Cuz he is really just looking at his ceiling. I feel like actually filming that is kinda silly looking if you were to walk in on him just looking into a camera sitting at a chair at a desk and looking around the room for no reason. I would love a behind the scenes type video about what goes into making one of his videos, how he came up with all of his catchphrases, the backstory to his various props and why he chose them (cheese hat, YOLO BOLO, Clutch Daddy shades, etc), stuff like that. Also what he finds better and worse when it comes to TH-cam vs Twitch. I think it would be interesting.

The pow block still thinks it's inside the clown car. That's why it follows the clown car up and looked like an elevator
Yeah, I think that's how all the POW weirdness (+ the spiky meatball hitting those on-off switches) is happening. The item thinks it's still in the clown car, so it tries to snap back to inside of it, resulting in loads of weird, wacky, and wonderful things.

For an explanation of why they call it Game Genie Tech, there are two TH-cam channels you should check out: Super Mayhem and gruz. They go through some weird Game Genie codes from back in the day that glitch the SMB games to Uno Mas degrees. Enjoy!

Game Genie Tech is using Black Holes to put items in pipes that aren't supposed to be there, and other stuff that seems like your using the Game Genie, but you're not.

I think it'd be awesome if, in the next Mario game, they had a little science koopa character call out some glitches and treat them as magic or a crazy science experiment. They could have him as a side character or secret npc.
I think I know how the POW GGT works. When you pick up the POW the game still thinks it's in the Clown Car, so when you put the POW down, the POW's Y gets set to the Clown Car's Y. But The POW's X gets stuck on a wall. So when the Clown Car moves up, the Pow go's with it.

Nintendo need to make another thing in SMM2. Its called. GLITCHED WORLD. So you can ONLY upload glitches there and they wont delete it that would be awesome
They really should just ask the glitch community and make a compromise, or just change for the better for SMM3. but the chances of either happening are astronomical, maybe even 0%. So I highly doubt things will be any better for the next game. :(
8:47, the Game Genie is actually an attachable piece to an NES cartridge. Using different codes, you can use the Game Genie to find new features in the game you are playing like flying infinitely in SMB3 without a P-Wing, and much more.

The pow blocks are sharing the Y axis location with the clowncars for some reason.
Well I found a glitch with the shellmet where I put it on as the time ran out and it resulted in the shellmet pulsating. I had a recording of it that I accidentally deleted while going through my switch screenshots and deleting old ones I didnt need, and I cant for the life of me recreate I originally did it in multi player co op so maybe that has somethin to do with it?
