I really love how Tasteless and Artosis are both really good at this game and give great insights. Sc2 casts are great as well, but the expert perspective in the ASL series is freaking awesome.

One player clearly dominated his group, but the Larva matches were really entertaining. I'm very happy with the result, the Ro16 is packed with formidable players, it's going to be epic.
It's always sad to see a bo1 decider between players like Stork and Larva. A match of such a calibre, leading to an elimination from ASL, should be a bo5, not a bo1. ASL is just throwing away the opportunity for a great show any Starcraft fan would love to watch. No one here would complain about getting a Stork vs Larva bo5. Anyway, it feels like Stork went from a winning position to a losing position in a couple of seconds. He was doing well until 02:05:15, then he completely miss-executed the fight at Larva's fourth. He missed all his storms, his army was not coordinated at all, and he lost his corsairs (meaning he lost all future templars). Sometimes, that's the way Starcraft goes… You're doing well, then everything falls apart in 10 seconds.
bo5 games with this many people would take hours per person, which is a serious problem. Unless you make every Ro24 map resource starved, 30 to 40 minutes games turn into 1.5 hours at best, drag onto 2.5 hours at worst. That will take 3 months at their schedule rate just to get through the first stage.

Bo5 for every game would mean a group takes two days and a half (which I wouldn't mind either, to be honest), but you could fit the group in one day if only the elimination matches are expanded - like bo3 for loser game and bo5 for decider.

Something to note: the irradiate won't damage anything burrowed, so just burrowing drones will protect them. You'd have to irradiate the individual drones

@@briana7515 Wraiths are hella good man. They are literally good in every matchup. They are used for defense in TvP but they are great against shuttles and carriers. They merk Zerg all around and TvT they are a core unit.

Wraiths are Fast, but they are so fragile. It's like, feels like a Backstabbing Tactic? a Reveal Surprise: Show up with 10 Wraiths, snipe overlords. LOL. Imagine if Wraith share ground mech upgrades, THEN I would say capital YES.

Does the studio have rooms where the players can nap before or after a fight? if there is none. i suggest Capsule type beds. saves space. yet effective to give players a power nap.
Can someone explain to me the benefit of actually winning the first game? Aside from bragging rights, it basically ensures a harder matchup on your 2nd game where you'd instantly be eliminated if you lose. I'm always sad to see an elite player lose that second game after absolutely dominating the first, just for the one who lost the first game to win the losers game and go on to be stomped by the same player who sent them to losers bracket. Just saying...
It's double elim, so it gives you breathing room. Losing your second game after winning game one and you still have a chance. And if you win your first game you are automatically gonna make final match, where the 1st place person won't be there as they're already out of the group.

If I remember right this situation is exactly what happened to Soma, Jyj beat him in the bo1, lost winners, Soma won losers, and Jyj beat Soma in the finals. So Soma did end up facing the same player, and losing. Not sure I remember correctly... sometimes you avoid a rematch sometimes you don't.

FYI for tastosis you can't plague your own defiler with the plague but you can plague other defilers or any of your own units with a differnt defiler.

They have: SCV's with 60 hp, they have 75 minerals for 3 mines and get a free unit.
basically everything terran has is op tbh. except maybe like shitty units like firebats or ghosts. All mech is op and bio is op too.

Bisu has only been back from the Military for a bit hasn't he? He'll probably get better with time.
Stork is just too slow to execute at the highest level anymore. Consistently poor engagements are a symptom of this.
