  • No pole at home? No worries! Why not practise floor work? Here's 10 simple, beginner friendly, pole dance floor work moves for beginners.
    Before pole dancing, I had never danced before! Doing floor work felt strange to me at first. So, I hope these small tips help you feel a bit more fancy and dancy to supplement your pole dancing off the pole.

    • SAFETY PRECAUTIONS •
    Pole dancing is super fun but there are also risks involved you should be aware of before starting. These videos are advice only and are not intended to replace in-person professional classes. Please warm up before engaging in pole dancing to prevent injury! I am not a professional pole dance teacher. I recommend attending in-person classes before trying any moves on your own, especially when learning upside down tricks where a spotter is essential! If you have a pole at home, please make sure it is set up properly and is from a reputable supplier. There is always an element of risk when pole dancing and by following these videos you may be placing yourself at risk of injury. Please be careful and only do moves within your skill level.
    Happy pole dancing :)

    Wonderful tutorial! Loved all the little tips, the fact that you shot the same move again and again from different angles and you discreet encouragement (all the little smiles and "be as extra as you like") ^^ thank you for sharing!
    Edit I also love that you showed both moves on their own so that everyone can do their own mix and match and a flowing coreography in the end! And how you made sure to provide an alternative for people who can't do the split, you're so sweet

      YAY! I'm excited for you! It's one of the best 'expensive' things I have bought myself because I use it all the time for exercise!
      What pole were you thinking of getting?! If you have any questions about my pole, I am happy to answer them ☺️

    The move where you slide your legs under your body from one side to the other on your knees is so hard for me and I can't figure out what my errors are. I'm just practicing it over and over and falling on my butt about a million times 😆🤷‍♀️

    • @PoletatoJemPoleDancer
      @PoletatoJemPoleDancer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Melissa! Sounds like a tricky one! How are you going pushing your hips up to the ceiling? You can see how strong your muscles are to do this by doing a glute bridge from the floor :)

    Me being enthusiastic to learn some floor work whilst I can’t go to pole classes (no money :/) and starting this video
    Feeling like this is a good option so heading into the first movement
    Failing it kind of because I’m not flexible enough to actually just sit like that 💀 like this is stretching my legs already and I’m not even sitting with my bum on my feet 😬
    But at least I know what I need to work on 😂
    It’s a great video none the less and I will try not to loose my enthusiasm and keep working on all those moves :)

    Where are your knee pads from? Is it easier to dance in carpet with the knee pads?

    • @PoletatoJemPoleDancer
      @PoletatoJemPoleDancer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Makaela!
      Here's where I got my knee pads: www.lunalae.com/collections/knee-pads/products/sticky-silicone-knee-pad-black?variant=42693051220215
      These are great for using on the pole too as they are sticky.
      It makes it a little bit more easier but not a great deal. If the material on the knee pad was shiny, I reckon it would make it a lot more easier to slide on the carpet. But they definitely saves your knees from carpet burn!

    The legs sweeping underneath the body feels impossible for me like I don’t have long enough arms to keep my hands on the ground and sweep
