  • ETHEREUM vs POLYGON for NFTs (Which Should You Choose?) |
Most NFT projects are on Ethereum... but have you SEEN gas prices?!
If you're thinking of launching an NFT collection of your own, one of the first decisions you'll have to make when you're creating your NFTs on Opensea is to choose which Blockchain your project will live on:
The Ethereum Network OR the Polygon Network.
This is an IMPORTANT decision! And it can play a big part in the eventual success or failure of your nft project.
In this video we're going to talk about...
    - The difference between Ethereum and Polygon when it comes to NFTs
    - The pros and cons of building your NFT project on Polygon and Ethereum
    - Which of these two blockchains you should ultimately choose when creating your NFT project

What blockchain have you decided to go with for your NFT project, Ethereum or Polygon?

Could you tell us your opinion about RMRK? Very interested in your opinion about the future of NFTs on the new protocol supporting a multi-resourced and nested NFT?

Hi, Can i use polygon in one collection and etherium on the other collection in the same opensea account? Or should i create a different account for different blockchains?

I would choose polygon reason is because these gas fees are getting way too expensive I can see polygon rising in the near future also let your customers know in your website that polygon is what your accepting I’m hoping it works out because I’m finding ways on just purchasing polygon through ETH on different platforms. Thanks for sharing !

I'm a beginner - just learning about NFTs & crypto. My 1st ollctions are on Poly. IMHO, anyone playing in tghe crypto world is already savy enough to know how to cut corners and purchase more cheaply. I see the extra steps as low / med risk

I want to start on Poly to. Did you had any polygon matic in your wallet to start selling ? I'm wondering if I have to buy any... I assume that the gas fee for selling is taken from the price you get for the nft, bu still I'm wondering...?

Do many projects sell NFTs in ETH or Matic at Mint ? Or can it be either ? Sorry I'm very new.

Thanks fkr the vid! The steps you describe in why not to use polygon are the same steps to buy on Ethereum if you don't already own ETH... 🙃

Hello! I want to start on Polygon, but I have a question. Do I have to have any polygon matic in my wallet to start selling or can I start from zero? I'm wondering if I have to buy any...

Hey, when i list my nft at OS, i used my wallet address with ethereum mainnet but the listing is in ETH on polygon, so if someone buys it , i will get the eth to my wallet right or do i have to add anything?

Can an NFT listed in polygon can be bought with Etherium network.

The gas prices are pretty crazy, but nothing beats ETH's decentralization. I'm hopeful by ETH 2.0 they'll at least address some of the gas issues, but who knows. Great video comparison!

Definitely agree with you. Excited to see if 2.0 fixes the gas fees too! Assuming it actually gets released this year :P

The question is - can MATIC be purchased directly from most major crypto exchanges so that people can pay directly with it for NFTs on Polygon? Maybe that's the way to go. The only problem is that ETH became synonymous with NFTs so people associate it automatically with NFTs. That's at least my assumption as a UX researcher :) Thoughts?

    • @BrieKirbyson
      @BrieKirbyson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

You'd have to check each exchange, I find a lot of exchanges allow you to buy MATIC, but it's on the ETH network. The exchanges I found that'll let you withdraw MATIC to the Polygon network are Crypto.com and Binance -- not sure of others.
But yeah, ETH + NFTs are definitely synonymous and most people expect NFTs to be on ETH. Definitely something to consider.

@@BrieKirbyson I'm assuming with Newton it's on the ETH network then...oh well, that's where it gets complicated.

I am a bit of skeptic, but know a lot of aspects about BTC. So, let's make few things straight - BTC is an investment asset - like gold, it's scarce, but it's easier to acquire it and big players like pay-pal and grayscale are holding it, same with a lot of banking institutions, hedge funds and masses of people. Self-host wallet BTC owner whales have a hard time selling it without doing KYC and in some cases, this can wreck them financially. People lose access to their BTC wallets which makes that BTC frozen for all time. The Hype and FOMO is on the rise and most people only buy and hold with BTC. I mean you have to understand that normal stock market fundamentals don't apply here. It's not a 2017 - 2018 scenario. The regulation added to BTC can actually even make it more desirable(although have a minus). Basically, anything that could stop the mooning of BTC limo would be extreme regulation restrictions and also better investment opportunities discovered by BTC owners. However , it’s is best advice you find a working strategy/daily signals that works well in other to accumulate and grow a very strong portfolio ahead. I have been trading with Alex Mashinsky daily signals and strategy, him guidance makes trading less stressful and more profit despite the recent fluctuations. I was able to easily increase my portfolio in just 4weeks of trading with Alex Mashinsky daily signals growing 1.5 BTC to 6.7 BTC. His daily signals are very accurate and yields a great positive return on investment and is available to give assistance to anyone who love crypto trading, You can reach Alex on ͲeIєɠɾαm👉AlexMashinsky7 >Orr What'sapp✙13525305685...../....
