I have Xpel on my side windows of my Audi SQ8. It’s perfect. The car is black. It’s a beautiful finishing touch and differently helps with reducing heat. I wanted to tint my windshield but the Xpel installer saw that I have a repaired rock chip in the glass. He said that even though it’s very small, he did not want to install the product because it might fail with the constant expansion and contraction we experience in the desert.
Hello again, Pan. Not sure how I stumbled on your channel originally but I’ve been subscribed and watching your videos for a few years now and have written once or twice along the way and you’re always kind enough to write back which I really appreciate. Have learned so much from your videos and expertise. Appreciate the detailed explanations. Thank you for teaching all of us!
I have the same tint on my Ram. Big difference getting into my truck on a hot summer day. You'll notice it's hot but not baking in a oven hot. Very happy with it.
Awesome video Pan and thanks for sharing your tint process with us and Xpel is number one for tint and PPF and big up to those guys they done a great job and how they tint the windshield was spot on Pan I really enjoyed that video much love ❤️ enjoy your afternoon buddy and nuff respect to those guys 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯
Looks great, mines already tinted on the back and rear side windows as standard, the fronts has a yellowy kind of tint that's probably UV inhibiting. I might tap up my local Xpel guy to see what he suggests. I've had Xpel PPF added to the entire front end of the car and lower side and hips. Its genuinely a great product so far. Its self healing so any light scratches and swirls will naturally fade to perfection again. I'm surprised you didn't get them to carry out a 'Performance Package' PPF? It makes the paint look and feel like perfect OEM from new. 😎
Thanks for sharing. I am just not a fan of the look or feel or PPF. Plus, as I get a brand new car every three years, and do low yearly mileage, scratches and stone chips are of no concern to me. My cars are always pristine when I bring them back to the dealership. But for people who keep their cars 4+ years, and do average to high levels of mileage yearly, and are looking for ultimate stone chip and scratch protection for their paint, PPF is the way to go for sure.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks Pan, everything is personal preference. Thats the beauty of the detailing world- it suits all tastes and wallets. I've out two layers of Carpro SIC over the top of my Xpel coating and its made it look even more candy looking. For the rest of the car to blend in I used 3.0 (2 layers and 2 layers of SIC) on the non ppf areas to blend and match the warm look and feel. It does blend in quite well. I just hope SIC bonds to Xpel for a while. Under polarised sunglasses it looks patchy but with normal lenses it looks fine. Its strange how polarised lenses pick out the ceramic trail from application. You cannot see otherwise 🤷
Yes Pan you should make a video on xpel ceramic coating, I had experience with installing xpel and is a very time and temperature sensitive coating on how it flashes, I would like to see your experience with it and to see if is worth the price vs the easy of use and durability
This past March I had XPEL ceramic tint installed throughout my 2018 M550 the same time I had a paint correction done with Swissvax to finish it off. I was shocked how well the tint gave off a glossy look - the paint (Mediterranean Blue) and glass and black trim all looking like they had about the same gloss level.
Awesome Pan, thanks for sharing this video I never new that the tinting industry is so advanced, I will definitely search for them here in South Africa 💫👍🏻
I got my Lincoln Aviator tinted by an authorized installer here. Their DAP program is what really separates xpel and along with high heat rejection nos. Warranty terms are great as well. And since you know which installer does plotter cutting.. it really helps optimize the price for PPF or tint and guarantee minimum quality of the work as well (as it is not hand cut).
Smart move to tint the windshield. I will do that even though they don't allow it here in CA. Always best to have a pro install on this. Next up, PPF!! LoL
This is awesome! I just got xpel xr black on my car a few weeks ago (20%). I'm happy to know it has Pan's approval meaning I got a great product 😀. The 911s looking great!
I recently had my local Xpel installer apply Xpel window tint, PPF, and ceramic coating on both of our cars, BMW 2024 X3 and 2016 428Xi coupe. Love how everything came out and would recommend Xpel products to everyone. I'm a real customer, not a dealer.

Nice professional look pan! That's the same route I went, lazer cut with a computer. Eliminating cutting on the glass well also guaranteeing a more uniform fit. Porsche looks amazing. 👍🇨🇦
You have good eyes Kaycee! Being a watch collector myself, when I first shook his hand, I immediately said "Is that a skeleton dial AP?!" and sure enough, I was correct. :)
I just got my NX tinted today with Xpel prime XR plus too. You guys are doing more professional while tintint the side windows. The shop that I went today, their staffs didn't even use any piece of cloth to cover underneath the windows while they sprayed the water. Luckily I didn't decided to tint my windshield today. There are few speakers in the front, I don't want to take the risk to let the water drip into my speakers.
Yes, interested in a demo of XPEL’s ceramic coating. This video was soooooo helpful to me. I’ve been receiving price quotes for the same film for my new ‘23 Integra 6MT. It’s quite a fishbowl! I think the XPEL will outperform the 3M tint that I got a year ago on my CR-Z. Will look into becoming an installer too!

Yes please try their other products! PPF and ceramic coating I'm super curious about their process in particular for that, what makes them different too, and the results of course
Thanks Konsta! Yeah I immediately noticed a reduction in the "greenhouse" effect of heat not coming into the car as much when driving in sunny conditions.
I can definitely vouch for this product , Martin at Alligator Tint applies this to all my Swerve and 911 Driving school training cars and my Porsche here in Winter Garden Orlando , and my god it’s needed !
Had sent you these two pictures back in winter. Thought you might find them interesting. Sent via messenger, but I don’t think you ever saw them. Frost on the windshield, look how each individual fleck is literally up in the air, how cool and how strange is that? Only the thin edge is attached to the glass. Wondering if the mcguiars silicone detailer spray is causing this?

I had Xpel XR Plus on my last car. The 70% on my windshield was blurry. It took 2 redos from different boxes and they all had the same issue before I had the shop just take it off. Was really disappointed. I hope this doesn’t happen to you, but heads up watching for it. The darker tint on the sides and back were fine. Ultimately, I think any ceramic tint is roughly equal and the premium price tag on Xpel just isn’t worth it (and I live in Florida where there is no shortage of heat). Key though, always go to a good shop for the install.
I had XPEL PPF placed on the front of my BMW X5 and XPEL Ceramic Film on the rest of the vehicle (including over the PPF). The finish was fantastic. The longevity jury is still out but it is still working great after 8 months. BUT, I would love to see you test this product and get your opinion. I always look forward to your next video.
Wauw, this is really impressive.. was not really aware of uv/heat resistance; just thought it was for darker... really gets hot in my bmw and maybe this could be a solution :) will check it out
Yeah the tint film technology has evolved a lot in the past decade. So while you can still get regular tints that just give a darker look for privacy, you can also now get tints that give that look plus help with IR/heat rejection.
Interesting regarding the windscreen tint. Here in Aus (NSW) windscreen tinting is not allowed. Just the side and back windows and those too are limited as to how dark a tint can be applied.
Pretty much everywhere the windshield can’t be tinted legally. I’m in california where it’s very illegal but I have 0.9% tint on the front windows and 20% on the windshield

Ah thank you! It's a childhood dream come true. I remember having posters of 911 Turbo cars when I was growing up, and promised myself to work super hard to achieve my goals and dreams.
Window tinting is absolutely essential to provide UV protection and heat dissipation. Unfortunately it’s illegal to tint a windshield completely in FL. Only a band along top is allowed
Pan, I know this is off topic. Two years ago I followed your excellent tutorial on applying a ceramic coating to my showroom condition 1987 Porsche 944 getting a beautiful result. Other than washing, is there some other coating I should put over the ceramic? And when will I know I need to redo the ceramic coating?
It's crucial to do a maintenance wash every 2 or 3 months with ceramic coatings, to replenish and boost the existing protection and make sure you maximize its durability. For that purpose, you use a silica spray sealant. I have a popular tutorial on how to do a maintenance wash of a ceramic coated car here: th-cam.com/video/yLiePQRMFc8/w-d-xo.html As far as how to know when you need to redo the coating, there are two general rules: 1) When you reach 80 to 90% of your coating's quoted durability claim, it's time to think about redoing all the steps to strip and reapply a fresh one. For example, if you have a 2 year coating, at around the 19th month mark, it would be good to start thinking of a total reapplication. 2) When you see the hydrophobic properties starting to diminish. Assuming you did proper maintenance and the coating isn't simply clogged by traffic film and road grime, if you see the water beading starting to diminish, and the water starting to pool and be very slow to sheet off, that's usually a sign the protection is on its way out, and it would be time to restart the entire thing. I hope this helps!
I hope one day Pan, that exterior PPF for windows will be more common especially on the front windshield I think Matt from obsessed garage had it done one time I’m not quite sure what happened I believe it was on his last Porsche?
Yeah I think I remember he did some form of exoshield glass protection ppf on one of his vehicles but not sure. Chicago Auto Pros did a video on exterior window ppf here: th-cam.com/video/LMUf7DK9JdM/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Pan! I when I get some time I will send you pic of my buddies new GT3 he just grabbed, it's a 15 model yr but it's like brand new , it no finger follower issues. I will send it to your Instgram. ..
Hey Pan I have a weird issue. My neighbor was interested in detailing so I helped him out a couple weeks ago. Now it's like he expects me to help him every weekend, how do I deal with this? He's a nice older. Gentle man but I don't know how to tell him Im not doing this for free all the time. My supplies and time are not free
That's a delicate situation for sure haha. I would be direct and upfront, tell it as it is. Be polite, but direct. You can say "I did an exception for you the last time, to help you out, but know that I normally charge XX of dollars for jobs like this. So if you want to hire me to detail your car, no problem, I can do it for that price."
@@PanTheOrganizer appreciate the reply, it's hard for me to say this because he does seem to have a passion for DYI detailing his family vehicles (3). It's just becoming problematic for myself being a weekend warrior, like to keep to my self and our own vehicles so it's very exhausting and time consuming but I don't want to create a bad relationship. Will take your advice and be upfront about it.
I have their Expel Paint Protection on my Vette and love it but I might have to consider their window tint after this video!!! Have you notice significant heat reduction as a result of its installation?
Pan quick question for the windshield. In Qc, I thoughts we were not allowed to put something on the windshield besides a 15cm band. Your thought. Great review by the way.
That is correct Donald. You technically aren’t supposed to. Do many people still do it? Of course. ;) It’s a vereery light tint on the windshield, so it doesn’t show anyways.
Thanks Don. Vinyl seats can be cleaned and protected just like leather seats. Watch my tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/CuN77nz8Ex8/w-d-xo.html Or you can use an artificial leather kit like this one: amzn.to/3TkDUIn
Would be nice to have a conversation on the various tint levels allowed in different regions, as well as deeper insight to applying and getting away with windshield tints in Canada.
Pan, are you happy with the tint a year later? I’ve had Xpel and liked it before. I have a g80 m3 coming in and it seems like 35% sides , 70% windshield is popular. I’m afraid it may be too light? I’m used to 15-20% with the 80% windshield which provides privacy, but still allows some light to go through. Have you been happy with the 35%? Inside it almost appears clear, outside with some angles and sun it does reflect a bit. Thanks for your follow up thoughts.
I have that film on my P car as well. the funny thing is I don't really feel or see the difference heat wise after the car has been sitting in the sun the whole day. (vs a cheaper film)
Really? Do you have your windshield tinted with that film too? I was told that is where the majority of IR comes through, as it's also usually the biggest glass surface on the car. I immediately noticed less greenhouse effect, less heat in the cabin when driving on sunny days.
@@PanTheOrganizer yes front tinted too. I think the heat rejection works well for a while, but once the car has been sitting in the sun for hours it won't matter too much. I just don't feel the car being that much cooler if any than with cheaper film .. They way they test/show you the heat rejection is what a heat lamp and a piece of glass with the film on it. They measure the temp of the glass, but that doesn't account for all the heat collecting in an enclosed cabin for hours. When the car cools down from using the A/C it may help. it doesn't heat up as quickly. but doesn't seem to do much for a car sitting in full sun most of the day.
@@PanTheOrganizer I did some tests and without any film the dashboard hit a temp of around 140 deg. after 70 min in full sun. With the film it hit a 130 def in full sun after 70 min It's 10 deg. difference but you are not going to feel it yourself. The temp inside the car itself was almost the same @ 120
Pan - I didn’t know that you had the lightweight noise insulating glass….can you tell me about your experience with it…did you do a comparison with the regular glass…do you think the benefits outweigh the potential issues…..there’s a ton of stories about the glass over on Rennlist. On the GT3 forum I think it was established that Porsche had a supplier issue (the glass cracked on a number of cars. ) On the turbo S forum it appeared to be that some installers struggled applying tint….using a knife around this glass is a big no no. If you ordered the car again, would you still select the option. 👍
I have had the car for a year and and four months so far, and I really like the lightweight noise insulating glass. Because I chose the top of the range Burmeister sound system, I wanted to cut off as much of the exterior road noise as possible (as 911 cars aren't as quiet as my previous BMW M550i for example). And compared to my friends with 911 with the regular glass, I really notice a difference. I'm an audiophile, so everything counts. Yes I would absolutely order that option again if I was to get another 911. I can also confirm that both the original window tinters from Porsche (I had taken tinted option from the dealership prior to delivery) and also Dean Mitchell shown in this video (almost 30 years of window tinting experience, a legend in that industry) had absolutely no problems tinting my windows. I hope this helps. Do you plan on buying a 911?
Hahahaha. No worries, the car was in very experienced hands. Together, the team had 50 years of tinting experience. Dean is a legend in the tint film industry and is known worldwide. They were super professional.
All our patterns are designed in-house by our experienced window Tinters and only uploaded to our XPEL DAP software once they been thoroughly tested. 😊
Hello PAN, don't you need authorization to tint the glasses in Canada? Here in Portugal only with authorization from the IMT and then you have to do an inspection and have be informed in the car documents. (Sorry for my English 😊
Each province in Canada has its own rules and regulations. But you don't need an authorization to have your windows tinted in my province. You only need to make sure they respect the legal tint % limit.
Not exactly accurate. Those are very deceptive statistics. The IR measurements are only done within a very narrow band of the IR spectrum. Usually about 900-1000nm. It’s a nearly meaningless statistic. TSER is the important measurement, as it accounts for TOTAL energy. Same for when tinters who use sales pitch buzz words like “nano ceramic”. Nonsense garbage. All “nano” means is “one billionth”. Using the same basis of argument, EVERYTHING is “nano” when you’re claiming it’s made from atoms. The “ceramic” in ceramic window film is just metal oxide. Usually something like TiN (titanium nitrite) or ATO (antimony tin oxide). “Ceramic” just sounds catchy.
@@jasewagner5717 not really relevant to my comment👍🏼 Was just stating stats from the safety data sheet. Either way the numbers announced in the video are not what XPEL advertises.
Car looks Pantastic!!! Hey, curious as to why you went with the fade to black look? Also, I’m getting ready to tint my new M440i and Im going with 40% Ceramic all the way around and was wondering if you have Heads Up display and if so, have you had any issues with the Ceramic affecting it? Thanks for another great video Pan! I gotta run….Im way behind on your video’s and need to get caught up! Have a great weekend 👊🏻
I think Dean missused the "fade to black look" thing hehe. What he meant to say was we used 35% on all the side glass, and a 20% film as you can go darker for the rear windshield according to our local laws. I don't have the HUD in my Porsche.
I never had PPF applied to my cars, so I never really looked into this unfortunately. But if you search for an XPEL authorized dealer near you, I'm sure they'll do a good job, as they have to undergo specific training and approval from XPEL.
Pan, do you have any thoughts on Global Window Films? Thinking about tinting the glass in our condo and the installer uses global window films. I’d rather use XPEL but I don’t have an XPEL dealer near me.
Is it normal to have wavy distortion on some areas of the glass after installing the Xpel XR plus? I had a guy I paid $60 buck for my front car 2 years ago using a no brand tint and installations was almost perfect, but today I paid another shop to put XR plus on my newer car was really disappointed. Some area has that wavy spots which like installed by a rookie on his first day.
@@PanTheOrganizer The wavy distortion , to my surprised disappeared the next day. Maybe the nature of the tint combined of moving the car out from warm garage to freezing temp outside few minutes after the installation.
Hi Pan, new subscriber, I’ve been enjoying learning about all the details in your industry. What brand you recommend that would cover all the detailing needs for someone who is an enthusiast about maintaining their vehicle? P&S, Gyeon, CarPro, ?? Thank you

Actually Pan I’ve been a subscriber for years, been detailing cars since the early 80’s, when we used oven cleaner to clean wheels, spokes mainly, Mop-Glo was used as tire shine, Brillo pads for the white walls. A WaterSprite chamois was the best drying apparatus ever!
Oh wow that's even longer than me! I started in the 90's and even back then we have nowhere near the awesome technologies we have today. Paint sealants were barely a thing back then (let alone ceramic coatings haha) and microfiber towels didn't even exist, we barely had acceptable terry cloths !!! I remember the days of carnauba waxes being a pain to apply and buff, and compounds dusting like crazy haha.
@@PanTheOrganizer Yes you’re right, Pan I remember when guys would wash there cars with dish detergent, use brushes to wash their entire car… it wasn’t until maybe 05’ when I bought my wife a black Kia Sorrento and realize it was completely marred with swirls and I searched for how to remove swirls from cars and I ran across a guy named Bob Willis from Stockton, CA. and the rest is history. I bought the same polishers, polishes, pads, and the rest is history. My passion for this is more than a job Pan, I love cleaning cars! Small story…my next door neighbor washed his 70’ Nova at least five times a week, sometimes twice a day, that being said, he washed the paint off the car in about four years! He would travel to Los Angeles from here in SE Louisiana and come back with details tricks like rapping towels around a brush for carpets and floors mats, I still use a 3” paint brush to apply Pearl to tires, 40 years later! I use products that you’ve tested on your channel and continue to use…keep it up Pan👍🏾
Hello Pan, ça a de la gueule, mais en France, c'est très compliqué de mettre des films de teintage et pourtant certaines voitures ont des films noires 😵💫 Merci pour cette belle présentation 👍🤗🙋🏻♂️
Hey pan! I also live in Quebec and would like to know what you think of the battery saminiz foam gun from Canadian tire? Oh ya thanks for the fantastic videos..
@@PanTheOrganizer ok then , thanks for the reply. I gess I'll go get it and let you know. Living on the south shore of Montreal in a condo. It sounds like an easy way of getting the same result " I hope" merci
I was thinking for a long time about tinting my car and very seriously looking this year esecially at this tint just can not justify a $800 gamble for the side and rear window when i really would want the windshield and sunroof done as well. I say gamble as its really hard for me to allow someone else do the cosmetic work on my car knowing how OCD I am. I even looked at picking up the tint and trying it myself but can not find it easily
That’s because professional grade window films are restricted by most manufacturers, are often territory protected and are not to be sold to the general public. If you’re not a qualified installation facility, they won’t sell it to you. And $800 is wildly overpriced for almost any vehicle.
And watching some videos on youtube you see some rip the top part of the door card out of the track makes me question most shops as it would get WAY more expensive should they destroy the door cards......also if i could have better results detailing as well as ceramic coating without any training i do not doubt that i would be able to do a decent job tinting
@@grand04gt our policy is, if you’re going to be yanking the top of a door card around - just remove the entire damn thing before you go breaking stuff. Most door cards are only held in place with only a few screws anyway. Tinters are always fussing about “that takes too much time!” (Like the extra 3 minutes a panel is going to matter), VS breaking shit
In theory, you can't. Do people still apply light tints on their windshield? Yeah, sometimes they do. It's like the 70% tint limit for side windows in Quebec. You often see cars with super dark tints up front, which are more like 35% or 15% tint. Are they allowed? No. Do they still do it? Absolutely.
Hi Pan. I own an automotive glass, tint and detailing shop here in Kelowna, BC and have since 1988 so here’s a few things for the viewers to keep in mind. -make sure you check with your local provincial/state laws to find out what darkness of film you can legally put on. Most places don’t allow any tint on the front 2 doors and the windshield. Now, saying that, a lot of tint jobs we do also include the 2 front doors. It’s just a matter of time till you happen to come across a police fella who decides he/she decides to enforce. Therefore, I highly recommend to people who want tint on the 2 front doors to go with either 50/55 or no darker than 35. Ticket is $109 here in BC. If you get argumentative they can make you get towed to your favourite tint shop to get it removed and then you need to get it safety inspected, which is another $125, plus the waste of time. So,,,,, the lighter the tint that’s on front glass the less likely you get stopped. -I highly highly recommend not to tint the windshield. Vision is greatly reduced at night, no matter how light of tint you put on. -if you get into an accident most insurance companies will assign a percentage of fault to you even if it’s totally not your fault. -Glass, including the windshield already has 70% light rejection built into it, and all automotive glass has uv blockers built into it. -But, if customer wants tint on 2 front doors,no problem,I’ll put it on.(I absolutely refuse to tint windshield’s. Except if they want an eyebrow across the top). Remember, I get paid to put it on and I get paid to take it off. -Customers have complained that they’re cell phones don’t work as good if ceramic film is used. (Mapping or any data is affected). Customers have said that “it used to work in this or that location and now it doesn’t”. So customers should informed of that before you put that film on. Just a couple of things to keep in mind. By the way, Xpel is great film, especially if using it on the 2 fronts where the window is constantly going up and down. But remember, it scratch resistant not scratch proof. As far as the Xpel ceramic coating is concerned there is better stuff out there. Nice video pan, I enjoyed it. The 911 certainly looks better.
Hi Chris. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in a polite manner. Out of curiosity, since I'm not a window tinting expert, what brands and models of tint film are better in your opinion? In my research, it boiled down to XPEL Prime XR Plus, and SunTek. After talking to many experts and Porsche owners, it seems XPEL is the top pick.
@@PanTheOrganizer Hi Pan. Thank you for your kind words regarding trying to be polite. I was trying hard. 🤓 I use Suntek but not because it’s “the best”. I have tried/used/sampled a lot of different brands and product types in the last couple decades and many are very similar. Availability, pricing, distributor shipping costs, etc….come into my decision process. Also, some tints are harder to shrink. But of utmost importance is if my tech likes working with. It. A “stabilized dye” with a lifetime warranty is available with most, if not all brands. “(That’s what I use). What I meant by “Xpel ceramic coating” is their liquid SIO2. I’m not saying it’s junk, I just have found better. (I have switched to Kronos by Phoenix EOD). I would also highly recommend tinting (very lightly) the sunroof/glass roof that’s on a lot of vehicles these days. Or have ppf or the film that’s used on the exterior of the windshields. I’m running across more and more people these days that had a glass roof panel break. It’s a major pain in the tooter when the glass breaks in a million pieces and you have a hole in the roof. It’s especially awkward when it’s raining or snowing out and you’re on the hwy. The film won’t necessarily prevent the glass from breaking but at least it’s held together till you get home and get it replaced. (Which will probably take close to a week). I understand you’re a busy fella but we should talk one day(my friend Phil Miranda says you’re a nice guy). I’ll try contacting you thru Instagram again if you want.
Hello Pan , good look but it’s the first time I see a film on a windshield ; are you sure it will not be too dark when you will Entering in parking areas which are often dark areas Need your feedback Thanks
It's a very light tint for the windshield, so I have zero issues when driving at night. We mainly used the film for IR rejection on the windshield. And on the sides and back we went for a darker tint.
I didn't need any test as it was pretty obvious on my first drive on a warm sunny day. The difference was noticeable. But beyond the IR reduction, I mainly wanted these for the quality and also for the look it gave the vehicle.

Have learned so much from your videos and expertise. Appreciate the detailed explanations. Thank you for teaching all of us!
My dudes got over 100k on his wrist!! That skeleton AP is a beautiful watch! Business must be booming!!
I have Xpel PPF (full car) and XR+ tint on my 2019 Corvette ZR1 and love it! Can't recommend Xpel enough to people.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Morning Pan, it’s good to see new things in your channel, I’m a tint lover since I remember
Good to know! Yeah I like to change things up every now and then, to keep my content fresh and different. :)
I've heard nothing but good things about this window tint brand. Your Porsche looks amazing Pan!
Thanks!! Yeah Matt from Obsessed Garage also uses this tint film on all his cars.
I have the same tint on my Ram. Big difference getting into my truck on a hot summer day. You'll notice it's hot but not baking in a oven hot. Very happy with it.
Exactly! It has been a month already and I do notice the drastic reduction in heat and the greenhouse effect in the car on blazing hot days.
😎😎
Noted
This past March I had XPEL ceramic tint installed throughout my 2018 M550 the same time I had a paint correction done with Swissvax to finish it off. I was shocked how well the tint gave off a glossy look - the paint (Mediterranean Blue) and glass and black trim all looking like they had about the same gloss level.
Awesome Pan, thanks for sharing this video I never new that the tinting industry is so advanced, I will definitely search for them here in South Africa 💫👍🏻
Thanks!!
LoL
Pan the 911 looks fantastic! I would like to see a video of the XPEL ceramic coating done.
Thanks!
This is awesome! I just got xpel xr black on my car a few weeks ago (20%). I'm happy to know it has Pan's approval meaning I got a great product 😀. The 911s looking great!
Hehehe yeah, and my buddy Matt from Obsessed Garage also has the same tint film in his cars.
@@PanTheOrganizer nice! I am really liking it so far.
I recently had my local Xpel installer apply Xpel window tint, PPF, and ceramic coating on both of our cars, BMW 2024 X3 and 2016 428Xi coupe. Love how everything came out and would recommend Xpel products to everyone. I'm a real customer, not a dealer.

Damn, that tint looks awesome! Might have to look into that for my truck and wife’s SUV. Great video Pan!
Would love to see their ceramic coating as well!
Thanks Michael!
Nice professional look pan! That's the same route I went, lazer cut with a computer. Eliminating cutting on the glass well also guaranteeing a more uniform fit. Porsche looks amazing. 👍🇨🇦
It sure does!
The car looks amazing with that tint. 👍
I think so too!
Off topic but y’all notice that AP(I believe) on his wrist…this guy making a banger in that tinting industry…but all in all kudos to him and you pan!
Glad my video was helpful Lauren! I hope you are doing well.
Very informative. I always wondered about how exactly this was done. I have Xpel tint on my C8 side windows and have been considering the windshield.
Thanks Marc!
I have never heard of this brand either. Thanks for writing back.

That XPEL tint looks amazing on your Turbo S. The tint also gives great UV-protection for the interior as well👌🏻. Top quality work like always Pan!

👍🏻👍🏻
Had sent you these two pictures back in winter. Thought you might find them interesting. Sent via messenger, but I don’t think you ever saw them.
Frost on the windshield, look how each individual fleck is literally up in the air, how cool and how strange is that? Only the thin edge is attached to the glass. Wondering if the mcguiars silicone detailer spray is causing this?
Very nice job looks great 👍

I ‘m a big fan of Spectra Photosynch-great ir rejection while maintaining great VLT
I have zero issues so far and it has been about a month.
@@PanTheOrganizer glad to hear that! May just have been a few defective batches or quite possibly installer error.
Thanks for the trust you place in my opinion John. 👍🏻
The car looks so good now.
🙌🏻😎👍🏻
Just ha it done, but my windows are still very hot. What was the benefit. Maybe a waste
Wow what an amezing look now pan , its great i love it 👍

The tint looks amazing on the turbo s
Thanks James!
I like the front windshield done in a light %
Me too!
Forgot to add. Though I am not a big Porsche fan, your Turbo S looks awesome.
If it's clear tint, no problem. You'll be okay with anything over 50%.
I have a popular tutorial on how to do a maintenance wash of a ceramic coated car here: th-cam.com/video/yLiePQRMFc8/w-d-xo.html
As far as how to know when you need to redo the coating, there are two general rules:
1) When you reach 80 to 90% of your coating's quoted durability claim, it's time to think about redoing all the steps to strip and reapply a fresh one.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you Pan! You are the best! I will check out your maintenance wash video.
Gorgeous car!!
Thanks man!
Pan I missed what’s % on your side windows THANKS ✌️🙏🇨🇦
35% on side glass and 20% on the rear windshield.
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks I have to redo mine because my arms burn in the summer thanks again I have been watching your videos for years 🙏✌️🇨🇦
Neat video. Just wondering, what is the best way to clean vinyl seats? Thanks in advance.
Thanks Don. Vinyl seats can be cleaned and protected just like leather seats. Watch my tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/CuN77nz8Ex8/w-d-xo.html
Or you can use an artificial leather kit like this one: amzn.to/3TkDUIn

Hey Pan, any chance of trying out the new zipang 2.0 from Kamikaze? I’m wanting to try it out but have seen zero reviews.
I haven’t tested that yet.
Would be nice to have a conversation on the various tint levels allowed in different regions, as well as deeper insight to applying and getting away with windshield tints in Canada.
Way too specific, I would have lost the audience’s attention at that point. And that was way beyond the goal of this video.
It’s subjective for the tint level (and what is legal or not where you live) but I absolutely loved it.
The temp inside the car itself was almost the same @ 120
Please tell me a guy in switzerland that work so great like him, or even EU?

Guys got an audemars piguet open worked watch on while applying window tint. Flex
He sure does. Good observation skills!
I have always been leery of precut film because it depends on the measurement provided by the manufacturer. Maybe this only applies to body film?
All our patterns are designed in-house by our experienced window Tinters and only uploaded to our XPEL DAP software once they been thoroughly tested. 😊
Hello PAN, don't you need authorization to tint the glasses in Canada?
Here in Portugal only with authorization from the IMT and then you have to do an inspection and have be informed in the car documents.
(Sorry for my English 😊
Each province in Canada has its own rules and regulations. But you don't need an authorization to have your windows tinted in my province. You only need to make sure they respect the legal tint % limit.
@@PanTheOrganizer Ok. here the regulation is for Portugal and the entire European Union. Greetings.
The XR Plus film is blocking 92% of the IR heat with the 70% and the 35% and 20% is blocking about 96% of the IR👍🏼
@@jasewagner5717 not really relevant to my comment👍🏼
Was just stating stats from the safety data sheet. Either way the numbers announced in the video are not what XPEL advertises.
I’ve read XR PLUS has a brownish tint whereas XR is grayish. Are you finding any brown hue to the tint? Thanks!
I didn't notice a brown hue personally. They just look perfect to me. :) What you see on camera is also pretty much the way I see it in person.
What tint level was installed? I'm debating between 30 and 35 on my Porsche
We spoke about that in the video. Did you watch the video?
Hey Pan, would you also happen to know of a place around the greater Montreal area that does a good job applying ppf?
I never had PPF applied to my cars, so I never really looked into this unfortunately. But if you search for an XPEL authorized dealer near you, I'm sure they'll do a good job, as they have to undergo specific training and approval from XPEL.
Pan, do you have any thoughts on Global Window Films? Thinking about tinting the glass in our condo and the installer uses global window films. I’d rather use XPEL but I don’t have an XPEL dealer near me.
I never heard of that brand.
I don't see any distortion in mine. You should perhaps go an see your installer about the issue you are having.
@@PanTheOrganizer The wavy distortion , to my surprised disappeared the next day. Maybe the nature of the tint combined of moving the car out from warm garage to freezing temp outside few minutes after the installation.
Hi Pan, your car looks amazing!!! Just wondering if they trained PPF or Tint for small business. Like doing the business in the garage? Thanks Pan
You would have to reach out to Xpel and ask them.
Hi Pan, new subscriber, I’ve been enjoying learning about all the details in your industry.
I’m a weekend warrior and would like to just buy 1 brand of car washing/interior cleaning/window cleaning/ tire care products to maintain my black truck that lives outside of the garage.
What brand you recommend that would cover all the detailing needs for someone who is an enthusiast about maintaining their vehicle?
P&S, Gyeon, CarPro, ??

Yes, you ask your installer what they installed. Don’t you know what you paid for? I’m confused.

Small story…my next door neighbor washed his 70’ Nova at least five times a week, sometimes twice a day, that being said, he washed the paint off the car in about four years! Try Xpel ceramic pro.
Is the PPF also transferable?
Yes sir 10 year nationwide transferable warranty.
@@jasewagner5717 thats what i thought.....especially for a small Audi A3
And watching some videos on youtube you see some rip the top part of the door card out of the track makes me question most shops as it would get WAY more expensive should they destroy the door cards......also if i could have better results detailing as well as ceramic coating without any training i do not doubt that i would be able to do a decent job tinting
Exactly 100% which is why i want quality and would be more than happy to pay.....just within reason as I am far from rich lol
Xpel is the best
I’m super happy with it so far! 😁👍🏻
Bonjour Pan, Etat clinique ta très jolie 911 comme ont dit en France cela donne bien la teinte de tes vitres merci

I didn't think you could tint below 15cm on windshield in Quebec
Hello from Mooresville NC USA
Hello there!
Hey there James how do I get a hold of you?
Who is James?
@@PanTheOrganizer I mite have some good content for your channel
I'm confused Raul. You are looking for James? Which James? This is Pan The Organizer, not James.
@@PanTheOrganizer sorry I meant Pan I was thinking your name was James
Hello Pan , good look but it’s the first time I see a film on a windshield ; are you sure it will not be too dark when you will
Entering in parking areas which are often dark areas
Need your feedback
Thanks
It's a very light tint for the windshield, so I have zero issues when driving at night. We mainly used the film for IR rejection on the windshield. And on the sides and back we went for a darker tint.
@@PanTheOrganizer Pan , could you list the tint percentage you have chosen for each part of the car ?
Thanks
Got it 70 % on winshield
35 on front
20 on rear
I wonder how much IR and UV protection there is from stock on windshield ?
Too bad you didn't test it before and after for any temp reduction.
I didn't need any test as it was pretty obvious on my first drive on a warm sunny day. The difference was noticeable. But beyond the IR reduction, I mainly wanted these for the quality and also for the look it gave the vehicle.
you never mentioned the pricing as part of the review
There is no point as prices can vary from one country to another. You can check with an authorized installer near you.
They missed out on Jamaica
those guys are very fast
They were very efficient indeed! They have a combined 50+ years of window tinting experience.
With the power of video editing, you too can strip and retint an entire car in 11 minutes.
