I watched this movie when I was a kid. First of all, dont let your kids watch this movie. Definitely a TRUE horror film. No boogie man, no monsters no ghost. Just humanity at its worst.Just got done watching it . Its been 40 years.

There were so many unbelievable great movies. Nowadays with all this digital blockbusters and the special effex cinema just get so bored and bad.
The first time I saw this movie, I thought micheal Douglas's character was in on it.., until he ran for the basement, found the carbon monoxide connection and disconnected it... This movie was put together so well and was made so real, it made you think that this could happen in real life. That's what made this movie great.
My 4th year surgery rotation in Philadelphia would have been much more pleasant if I had a Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack following me around the hospital.
I watched this movie on a HBO free weekend in the fall of 1978 in Casper WY. I was going to JEFFERSON School at the time as a 6th grader. A few months later the girl I was in love with put me into a coma after she found out how I felt about her: she socked me so hard on the head it felt like I was in a coma...she harvested my heart ❤️

I saw this movie, when I was a kid,it freaked me out! Later in my thirties I had 2 psychiatric e-o,s , they thought I was nuts! That's the scary thing about these psychiatric institutions, once you get locked up, you can never get out! DON'T TELL THEM ANYTHING!!!!!💀
Just was under anesthesia yesterday ..was absolutely horrified throughout this. So well put together. How the heck did they do the pupil dialation scenes so convincingly? That traumatic scene @the beginning..oofff just hooks you

And among them there is neither one that not everyone has noticed and is not marked in time in the list of actors ie : il potologo Ed Harris the future Pollock !! Deep coma what a memorable film !!!❤

No, I don't think it was cut at all. The film is 113 minutes long (see Wikipedia and imdb). 22 episodes of 5m1s and 1 episode of 4m59s. Deduct the ±5s crossover from end of previous episode at the beginning of episodes 2 to 23 and I calculate ±113½ minutes. As far as I can tell, this version is complete.

PS the only thing l don't catch is, how would they have dealt with the family members of the patients died at the Jefferson hospital? They corpses would have had clearly signs of surgical transplants procedures.
Very few families would even be concerned. They'd take the doctor's word at Jefferson that it was a coma and probably give some alibi to the funeral homes.
