This is definitely one of the best years for super treasure hunts. I like them all.👍 I already found a couple of them this year the 1989 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC AMG and the 71 el Camino and I will be on the hunt for the rest of them and I can't wait to add all of those and I can't wait to add all of them to my hot wheels collection.👍
I agree with the majority of your grades. A few standouts so far (Merc, Audi, Fiat, Volvo for its whacked out swing for the fences!) and some real duds/misfires (Escort, Camaro, Pajero and Celero - I like the casting but not with that deco). And that Silverado is 🔥! Gonna fetch quite a fee on the bay! Good work glad I found the channel!
I'm just getting back into collecting and been at it a couple months. Of course the 2 Super's that I've found are the 507. Can't find anyone that wants one in trade. Still a nice find but it's time to find a different one
That B case Camaro super had a plain black variation, it looked like the basic version with the T.H. tempo and premium wheels. I know because I found 3 in 3/4 cases I found at two dollar tree stores and 2/3 supers were basic black and one was black spectra flame. Funny thing tho. All 4 cases were C case. The gold BMWs were switched out at the factory. I’m guessing since the workers in Asia saw how much the gold civic was selling for from the previous year. You should investigate how many supers are made each year of each car and cross reference how many actually make it into cases now versus like ten years ago. You’d be surprised how many get lifted from the factory. A few years ago Hotwheels made a ruby red cobra super and while I was browsing through eBay I saw a listing for a full dozen cobra supers. Can you imagine where they were selling from? Asia…
I track the number of cases I hit and supers I find. Typically, the cases with popular castings seem to hit at a lower rate than the others. The J case Toyota Supra was ridiculous last year. Hit nearly 30 cases and found only 2. Meanwhile cars like the Lotus and Mighty K I found in about 20% of their case codes. There absolutely is a problem with people stealing from the factory. I follow accounts on IG of the guys who get shipped them in the US. It’s an unfortunate reality rn and Mattel has no interest in solving it
My dude! The El Camino is NOT pink, it's purple and it's fantastic! ...if you need a "pink" reference look up the 2019 PINK 57 Chevy and you'll see the difference.
R34 in the Godzilla deco has to be almost guaranteed after the R32 and R33 have gotten it the last 2 years. If they wanna make a truly special super, that’s the one
The 787B is a tribute to the Legendary Le Mans winner livery! The first time by hot wheels. I can believe you didn’t realise that and wanted to change the deco
That’s awesome! I would have graded it better had I known that, I love it when Hot Wheels does stuff like that. Makes it a more meaningful Super, thanks for letting me know!
something you dident mention . the Pontiac firebird was the base model and never came with the fire chicken on the hood . only the trans am got a bird on the hood. so im going to say A with no +.
Every time I hear abt European Hot Wheels collecting it blows my mind. For a continent so in touch with auto culture it’s amazing that Mattel can’t move more product for you collectors over there than they do.
currently have the first 10 carded supers out of those imo the best supers in my opinion are the Merc, Volvo Gasser and Fiat. the Audi race 90 is a bit boring imo, interestingly the BMW gold is nicer than the Fiat Gold paint.
The grading was alright, but you need to remember that grading based off the picture online can be misleading than having them in hand and you need to consider what mainline non sth are pegwarmers telling you that people are that interested in the super like the Escort and the Fiat. Also, the pajero you showed had the wrong wheels and looks better in person.
I agree judging in hand would be better, but that would require either spending close to a grand on eBay (which I’m not willing to do) or finding all of them in store (despite my best efforts I’ve never accomplished this). I would disagree that judging a super treasure hunt based of its assumed popularity is also unreasonable however. Just because a car pegwarms does not mean it’s a terrible super. The Fiat fits a very niche subset of 1960s racing that very few people much less collectors have any appreciation for. As a result it’s going to be a less popular casting. That doesn’t mean however that it’s not a great casting with fantastic execution as I believe it is. I judge supers based off of 3 things: Did they pick an interesting/deserving casting? (this does not mean popular always, all types of car culture deserve to be represented) Did they give it a premium/fun/meaningful deco? Does it look premium/valuable as the name Super Treasure Hunts suggest? Cars like the Fiat fill all three of these areas and prove every super doesn’t need to be some popular JDM casting that will cause peoples to spend hundreds of dollars on the secondary market
@HotwheelsTournaments Ah, okay, because I started collecting hotwheels 2 years ago, and the comment I said earlier was from my experience living in Arizona, I now live in Tennessee and found the A,C,D and G sth at one store just going to work in the morning, I don't do multiple store hunting anymore because I've gotten into fights with adult collectors because I beaten them to getting cars they want. Also, do you think the lbwk Silvia will get a sth treatment, and what was your favorite normal th this year mines is ain't fare?
I have experience with collectors getting mad too, they often view certain stores as their “territory” which is ridiculous. I think the Liberty Walk Silvia has a great chance seeing as it’s so popular, though it may be a few years since it’s gone premium. As for favorite regular I’d say the Bone Shaker or Purple Passion coming out later this year
Hot wheels have lost their imagination on cars and their trucks. It's been a long time since they have made nice cars. There are plenty of cars out there that think hot wheels can make better ideas they don't use
I think they’re running out of cars to do. The past 10 or so years they’ve been on a ridiculous pace of making every classic car of every type. At some point they’re just no more to be made
@@HotwheelsTournaments yeah I can see it when going to stores and see nothing really promising. There are still cars to make from the past they can make I am sure of it. Think hot wheels is a dying breed sad to say it
Hot Wheels are sucking from all corners. Honda Hot Wheels Items always sell. I still have 8 Honda items from last year and I am a bottom feeder. And dozens of 2024 Honda Items just aren't moving. The only thing that sells are JDM cars but Honda is one of those so quite frankly HOT WHEELS SUCK LATELY!!!

Prices are gonna be crazy for the Silverado 😂 And thanks for watching!!!
Definitely the fiat wins for me. It looks really beautiful with that metallic yellow

YEA DEFINITELY NOT PINK LMFAO😅😅
The AMG and Audi are S rank
Great taste in cars!
Spectral flame purple skyline would be top tier

In my country is difficult to find the mainlines ,imagine what happens when someone is looking for a sth or even a regular th, greetings from Greece!

Have yet to find the Fiat despite hitting my fair share of E cases, so can’t say I’ve gotten in hand to compare. Hope to find it soon though
@@HotwheelsTournaments worse case if you can't find it and like to complete supers theres the trade option.
but yeah the Fiat is a really cool super.
I hate to be that guy, but Hot Wheels overall (Premiums, RLC, Supers) are no where near as nice as they were 4 to 5 years ago.

I think the line up needs to go from 365 cars back to 250, too many peg warming basics on the pegs these dayz
