Mam chiasmata diplotene stage me banti h in meiosis division jo ki pachytene stage ke baad aati h...and pachytene stage me crossing over hota h btwn pair of chromosomes....so mam jb crossing over hua hoga....toh obviously the pair of chromosomes will be joined....and mam chiasmata is called the joined areas btwn pair of chromosomes....so chiasmata formation baad ki stage me q...and crossing over pehle q??

@Saumya Dubey Suppose ek homologous chromosome ka pair hai, AB and ab, capital wala dominant hai, small wala recessive. Ab jab crossing over hoga, toh Ab and aB ho jaaega. Isiliye recombinants heterozygous hote hai.
