    I like Carnival and their ships but this class is my least favorite since they are all the same interior design. No grand atrium and nothing special about these ships. The insides are all just the same as the other ones in this class and the sunshine class. Fine for first time cruisers but I would not go on this vista or sunshine class of ships again.

      I really missed the grand atrium as it is where I like to hang out during sea days.

      Carnival Vista, unlike many large cruise ships with interior freight elevators to transport luggage on embarkation day, uses the small cramped passenger elevators used to transport luggage to state rooms. This means either very extended wait times to take an elevator, or, a willingness to climb up stairs on embarkation. Many older and/or physically challenged passengers were very inconvenienced. Debarkation is also a nightmare on Vista. Food in the Market Place buffet was awful. Dining room offerings were barely fair. We'll never cruise the Vista again.

    Thanks for the information. I’ll be cruising on the Carnival Vista July 7-13 to the Eastern Caribbean. I’ll be celebrating my wife’s birthday and our 18th year of marriage. This will be my first time on the Carnival Vista.

    My daughter and I are big cruisers together and love it just as you do. We have been on 15 Carnival cruises. Just got off the Dream and do Vista next March. We are doing a Viking Mediterranean in July. Isn’t it fun being best friends and mom/daughter travel partners!?

    Carnival Vista is better! And I am sailing on July 21-27.

    Our e muster in April they just scanned our boarding passes bar code during e muster. We watched video and ask questions if you have any. I thought it was great. Have not been on Vista specifically

      I was pretty sure we could have used our boarding passes, but for some reason the crew doing the scanning couldn’t seem to understand what I was asking (and I’m fairly patient with language barriers).

    I have never needed my sail and sign card to muster. On your boarding is your muster station. I have been on 4 Carnival cruises since covid and never had a problem.

    Your boarding pass has your Munster station assignment. The crew scans your boarding pass to check you in, just like ordering drinks before getting cards.

      This was my assumption, but the crew didn’t seem to understand what I was asking, so it wasn’t worth the argument.

    My family does 3 cruises a year and Carnival is our favorite line but the Vista class is our least favorite ship. We all agree we like the Vista/Panaroma but the ship was a little boring. No overwhelming grand entrance like on other ships and the venues are all the same, no new and exciting things to see. My family likes the feeling of connecting with the sea and exploring the ships. I would say our favorite class is the Spirit class, lots of beautiful designs, lots of areas to just get away, and not overcrowded like the big Royal Caribbean ships. Don't get me wrong we all do like Royal Caribbean but dont feel any connection with the sea and just too crowded.

      It seems like Royal designs their ships facing inward and makes the ship part of the destination. At least in their larger ships. So far the Dream class is my favorite, but I haven’t been on a spirit-class ship.

      How in the heck do you connect with the sea?

    For you time dinning you can request certain table or wait stuff. When you go and leave after eatting stop by the hostess station and ask them, they will note it and fir the rest of the cruise you will get it. We do this every cruise.

      @cruisingfromtheozarks  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Will that still work if you then use the app to request a table?

    • @brendaploskon323
      @brendaploskon323 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the next time you use the app they will know.

    How would I use the app if I do not get a wifi plan?

    • @cruisingfromtheozarks
      @cruisingfromtheozarks  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don’t need a WiFi plan to use the cruise ship apps. Basically they allow all phones WiFi access just for the app, but you’d need to purchase a plan to use WiFi for anything else.
