Tamilnadu express and Coromandel express trains were newly introduced super fast express with pantry cars from Chennai to new Delhi and Howrah, in the year 1976/77. I travelled in the said trains on introduction. At that time, there was no AC. It was only 2nd Sleeper, 2nd Upper class and 1st Class. Very special train at that time and getting ticket is a fortune as it has to be obtained at Counter, where people used to sleep near counter overnight to book ticket.
Yes. Even Rajdhani trains getting ticket was fortune. With affordable flight costs preference have changed

I remember my childhood and boyhood days of the late 70s and full 80s and earliest 90s .. this route..Grand trunk express used to come phenyl wahed and used to get parked in chennai central platform. I "think" it used to be platform 3 and 4 in the 80s😊

Dear Arumugham..you seems to be a nalla paiyaan but you're full of high emotions. Daivsedhu, ponga and visit Chandran kovil in Thingalur, about 20-25 odd kms from Kumbakonam. Neenga Chandran disturb irruku, visit on Monday and perform milk abhishekam to lord Chandran. Offer water to Sivalingam too, it would balance your emotions soon. Kandippa ponga. Good luck.
I was fortunate to travel by the KK Express in 1977, similar to TN Express, in the pantry car, there was a library section wherein one could purchase books, comics, etc, it could attain speeds upto 130kmph with icf coaches and alco engines, amalgamation/ bifurcation was at jolarpet jn

This is my favorite train I travelled constantly 5 years in this from Chennai to Delhi , Delhi to Chennai, better then Rajdhani

i m traveling in TN since my childhood first was in 1991 where Chennai to Nagpur were electrified then NGP to ITARSI was dissel locomotive with twin engines Itarsi to NDL was electrified with fabulous wap 1 Gaziabad , those days three ac coaches one 1st ac and two 2 ac two tier apart from this, there was non ac first class coach was there 10 sleeper class plus pantry car was there those days journey in my Favorite Tamil nadu express was heavan , Countries fastest non Rajdhani Shatabdi express TAMIL NADU EXPRESS WAS THE KING OF SOUTHERN RAILWAYS even faster then AP karnataka kerala express .

No stop is required at Gwalior, and Agra cantt while going MAS to NDLS
From NDLS to MAS, remove the halt at Warangal.
All the metioned 3 are decent sized cities. Deserves halts of all trains passing through.
Instead, remove Itarsi halt. It is useless.

I travelled in this train from Bhpl to Delhi
I didn't have the opportunity to travel by TN express sofar.. Mostly I travelled by Karnataka Express and Rajadhani Express only

Prassana..daivsedhu, dont drive at such high speeds macha. Please go to Vaitheeswaran kovil and pray to Chevvai and also perform the milk abhishekam to sage Dhanvantari. Do the jal abhishekam also for Sivan to get rid of all the driving sins you've committed in high speed. Kandippa ponga pa.

Are you speeding up the video playback at different times....especially when capturing the train running past the stations or other crossing trains?? Kind of kills the real perspective. It is not that this happens all the time.....but now and then.
Need Replacement by Bande Bharat Sleeper coaches to reduce time as it is one of the longest journey with moderate fair as compared to travel by air.

Papa bol rahe the tumhe ki beta thoda padh lo, thoda padhai kar lo..lekin tum maane nahi aur papa se bolte rahe ki tumne bike mechanic banna hai aur tumne khol lee mechanic ki dukaan. Ab yahan par aakar padhe likhe logon se pooch rahe ho ki apko kaise pata chal jaata hai samne jaati huee train ka ? Array naalaayak jo train guzarti hai uspar hi likha hua hota hai ki voh kaunsi train hai, naam aur destination likhe hue hoten hain uspar. Aainda ke baad aisa ghatiya sawaal kabhi bhi kisi se na poochna. Apna naam rakha hua hai Rajput Rajput aur kaam tumhaare mochi waale hain.
