As a kid, I’d count the Robins eating worms up out my lawn And wonder how the Beatles wrote all of my favourite songs Pouring paste down on paper then attach some different shapes Make a chicken, or a puppy, or a Picasso like face Thought I had enough time I could let some go to waste Now I’m sitting thinking man I’m getting old And it’s cool, as you know, this is a story often told As my children cut their paper and begin to pour their glue I’m at peace with the our fate and no longer yearn for youth It’s a beautiful thing, live life, make life Sometimes I have moments where I really hate life Then I look in the mirror, lay a slap on my cheek Find the words, and I speak “it’s a really great life”
beautiful work
An absolute vibe on this Christmas Eve
As a kid, I’d count the Robins eating worms up out my lawn
And wonder how the Beatles wrote all of my favourite songs
Pouring paste down on paper then attach some different shapes
Make a chicken, or a puppy, or a Picasso like face
Thought I had enough time I could let some go to waste
Now I’m sitting thinking man I’m getting old
And it’s cool, as you know, this is a story often told
As my children cut their paper and begin to pour their glue
I’m at peace with the our fate and no longer yearn for youth
It’s a beautiful thing, live life, make life
Sometimes I have moments where I really hate life
Then I look in the mirror, lay a slap on my cheek
Find the words, and I speak “it’s a really great life”
