This song and other great songs in my era (the 90s and early 2000s) are the kind of song that i grew up with. But back then, i only appreciate the melody, maybe part of the lyrics and that was all.
Now that i am adult, listen back to this kind of song not just brings back memories but it makes me appreciate the lyrics as a whole and the story behind it. Because through time, I've learnt my lessons of life and this kind of song somehow narrated it beautifully.
I really hate songwriters! They seems to always know how to say and find the exact words about things and feelings. I could have lost for words to even explain my own feelings. 😫
Good song writing has that affect as time passes and you have more life experience. There are way too many songs that take me right back to a time in my life either good or bad. Don’t you just hate how they can burrow into your soul. I would love to be able to express myself with lyrics and music but I never pursued it. I have much to say about my life though. Enjoy the ride and the rest of your life. Don’t know your age but enjoy where you are in life and tell those around you how much they mean to you and appreciate having them in your life cause one day without notice they will be gone. Just a small piece of advice from a guy that wants you to embrace your memories . I am always here in spirit for you. Whenever you feel down remember this song and don’t surrender ❤❤
