As someone who's a perpetual skiller and plays RS every few months for a short binge like it's a drug, I appreciate this - I rarely boss in Runescape and I know it's basically required for the Necro gear and it's what is putting me off training it and getting my max back. Thank you!

Great guide, with this managed to get nex kills and the items needed for the power armour upgrade task Worth mentioning two things - Nex will still do mechanics as you are killing her minions, failed a few times on ice due to this - if you done Ritual of the Mahjarrat, go to the glacor cave for a 5% damage boost, works at Nex
Not many people know this, but you don’t have to DPS blood phase to get passed it. There is a cheese, you can take your time if you don’t have high DPS. When she does her 1st mechanic (Blood siphon) you have to make sure you stop attacking her just before that (Don’t use conjures during blood phase for this trick, and have auto retaliate off). As she is siphoning (putting her wings up) run out of her line of site, like around a corner. If she fallows you, you did it wrong (she either saw you or you attacked her during her siphon). If she didn’t fallow you, you did it correctly and you have all the time you need to kill the dogs. Kill them, then attack Nex. Repeat this till she is at 80,000lp. If you don’t kill the dogs, she gets about 20k lp. This trick lets you kill dogs and have much more time to damage nex and not let her heal. Hope this helps someone. I have over 2k nex kc and this helped me get started.
THANK YOU! I didn't get my first solo kill yet, but I did manage to phase her past blood phase for the first time! Now I feel like I can actually fucking do this.
You can also ring her around the center area, which can be useful especially since the skeleton can chase her down almost the entire fight and the ghost can hit her from anywhere in the arena Prison's better with tank gear since you should have enough health to not need the powerburst. Also no extreme defense potion?
I have loads of next kills just watched to support you! Glad to see someone making necro boss guides! Could you make some for higher tiers like solak solos and vorago? Keep up the good work!
I plan to do solo solak at some point, but I need to practise a lot haha. Vorago I'm pretty certain I won't get to any time soon lol I've done like 6 kills and got carried :p
There's a part in the video that shows the animations for start and end, but she won't attack you during the siphon. So you can wait until she starts hitting you again. You can attack maybe 1 sec sooner than that, but with necro losing that 1 sec doesn't stop you 1 cycling :)
My buddy and I used to duo range Nex a decent bit for fun and drops. Knowing that T70 gear solo is possible with Necro without being absolutely perfect is mind boggling.
I strongly suggest using death skulls once you have the ice phase minion (that leads you into the last phase) on lower health. The skulls bouncing to nex can phase her faster if it hits right can save time and food
Guess im that old person now. I remember soloing nex with chaotics and a royal crossbow back in 2013-2014 lol People think you need high tier gear to boss. But you dont need them! Just play the game for fun and stop focusing on efficiency

IIRC you wear specific style gloves or something to make her think you're using that style, there's a youtube video on it under nex guides rs3, though it's old and hard to find.
i just cant with blood phase man, everytime i get an opportunity to dps her after siphon, she just sticks to me like flies on horse shit and then shreds me with melee, and there isnt any point in praying melee, i also cant just run i cant even take a single step away without her following close to me, i just dont understand what gives man, i do fine in the first two cycles and then she just pulls this chasing me shit, idk how yall get her to stay far from you.
Should use guthix rests instead of brews if you dont have overloads. Having to use a restore everytime you use a brew just feels bad in todays runescape.
this is a amazing guide but sadly due to my own priorites i cant use it im just useing all the darts i get on her with a long term goal of getting log compleation with 0kc i know i can just kill her for 15 min without the kc counting but doing strictly darts
7:12 Why would you ever ignore the Blood Reavers? Why would you tell "*Beginners*" to ignore the Blood Reavers? There's literally nothing else to do, and you can build adrenaline off of them instead of accidentally healing Nex.
Because beginners would likely be overwhelmed if I said ''for these 3 seconds that nex can't be hit you should attack the reavers, while you also re vuln nex, and prepare for your ability rotation''. Necromancy 1 cycles nex so easily now that if you press like 5 buttons in order you will 1 cycle every time. This is with the super budget gear that I have in the video. No overloads, no dps prayer etc. So it makes sense to just ignore them and not worry about adding more to peoples to do list.
No. Whoever told u that is setting you up to fail. in shadow phase u definetly do NOT want nex in your melee distance. of she embrace darkness it could ruin you. and the second part where its a hell no. Is the ice phase. Due to « contain this » mechanic. Wich will deactivate your prayers and put you in a vulnerable position for the prison if you get another one, as her auto attacks she does after containing you keeps counting towards when she will prison you, therefore little room to react. when more experienced, then sure you can BD and dodge the contain this. But for shadow phase no. You just surge to the miniom kill it and watch nex as soon as u see text above her head you move a square a keep attacking the minion.
i would avoid brews without overload tbh...ye you can drink restores but its over all just not that good and your alredy bad hit chance(witch leads to bad damage) just goes lower.

This is a bad guide. While I'm fighting her, she is gaining like 15K health from the reavers I'm "completely ignoring". There is no mention that she will sacrifice the reavers to heal herself.
The rotation shown will let you 1 cycle every time if you use even any sort of dps boosters. I didn't use prayers, dps auras, overloads or any high level gear. So with literally ANY of those, you shouldn't have an issue so long as you press the buttons as I showed you. (Volley of souls, Finger of death, finger of death, touch of death, finger of death). (Wep spec after if need be) Unless you are letting her blood sacrifice hit you, or you are just panicking and not hitting the damage keys you should breeze though blood phase now! :)

You are at 9 different items not counting any armor or weapons, or auras, and you suggest several other different items. Is all this stuff necessary or you can't win the fight?
It's about time necromancy is getting nerfed or other combat styles getting buffed. I hate it that every boss nowadays have to be killed with necromancy because it is way too broken. Corpereal beast should be killed with a spear, but now necromancy is the better style.... Nex should be killed with 2 different styles because of deflect prayers, but now necomancy is the better style.... I don't want to be salty, but it pisses me off as a ranged main....
Thanks anyways for making the guide! I just think its a shame that the only reason for training other combat styles now is quest requirements. Now necromancy is always the better style no matter what boss. Why should necromancy be the only combat style that unlocks new perks above 120? hopefully the beta fixes that as well@@InitYeah

thersguy just posted a low gear ed3 guide to, specificly for the ambasador. its also REALY low effort specialy in p1 (The hardest phase of the fight)

How do you know when, during the blood phase, nex has stopped her healing mechanic and you should start attacking for the 120-80k hp dps check?

Great guide! I do think though you should have done it on regular prayers as many people who don't yet have overloads yet also wont have 95 prayer.
But 2:46 ! Haha :p i didn't use anything above like 65 prayer (deflect magic) and this is almost nothing over the regular protect magic

Put a t70 necro weapon in your EoF, not 90. They have the same special attack and it’s way cheaper. :)
