  • This female Philippine Brown Deer have been confined in Brgy Lobo, Catbalogan City for three years. According to the locals, a roaming dog have found this when it was a fawn, somewhere in what the residents cited as 'Kapulahanan,' a forested area (with red soil) approximately near the territory of Jiabong.
The citizens of Lobo treat the animal with kindness, they regularly feed her with grass and various fruit. Kids love to pet her as well hence this wild animal already learned how to mingle with humans.
On the other hand, having an encounter with a Bugsok is rare because their species is extinct and thriving in the wilderness that is why their kind should be preserved and multiplied, especially in our province.
So what do you think? Should this Philippine Brown Deer be sent back to the wild or she should be paired with a male deer and establish a breeding ground for their species in Brgy. Lobo? 🤔
