It would be nice to do a video about howto proceed after a power failure or a crash during the upgrade for example halfway. SOMETHING WENT WRONG CONTACT YOUR ADMINISTRATOR HOW TO PROCEED. It happend to me and I had no backup or saved my data. I started up with a new 20.04 dvd and could so get most of my data which I am copying to an external hard drive. My next step will be to find out how to proceed the upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04 and then to 22.04 LTS Ubuntu. But first save my data and if I do not succeed with the upgrade I do a totally new installation.
Currently I have 18.04 LTS and I am very happy with it. I am thinking about upgrading to 20.04 LTS do to 18.04 LTS no longer being supported. My question is did you find 20.04 LTS to be slower? As well what about 22.04? I don't want to have a slower OS after upgrading and will keep using 18.04 LTS if this is the case. What else do you recommend for a Linux distro that is current (supported with updates) and as responsive as 18.04 LTS?
how to access all packages in ubuntu 18.04, because its EOL now, but I need to use it still, Can you share me the source.list , so that I can install software there
Bro while sudi do -release -update It shows ,checking for release In/etv/update manager/release manager prompt Is set to never so upgrade is not possible What do to solve it..
Your bootloader seems to be the issue. Try editing the config file of your bootloader. I don't know how to do that in windows. Try searching for that. What bootloader are you using?
I think, You can use apt-mark. It will hold the package from upgrading. But you have to try it out and make sure it works. Because upgrading the system upgrades dependencies. And if the upgraded dependencies are not compatible with the old version of Java, then it may break.
Nice explanation, need to aware data issue during this process.
Thanks for making video
This is the video am looking for 😍😍😍
Also loved your presentation❤

Maybe you have to change something in that file. Try going to the path it says and see if there are any lines set to never.

What is your bootloader? There should be a page where you can choose between operating systems and this is provided by the bootloader.
