I just beat my first ever Hector fight. I started as a body character, so no spells and no time slow. Just me and my sword, and the ability to lunge. Through the dungeon I found a nice sword from the enemies and Hector's arena gifted me a solid shield. My Hector was a gravity golem. I found it really difficult to hit his crystals with just a shortsword, but I had SO much fun it was insane, and it left me breathless by the end with how into it I ended up getting. Thank you Blade and Sorcery for doing what you do best and creating an unforgettable experience.
Wish I had as much fun as you body stone maxed out is a let down and my hector fights are just lag I need a better GPU 😭

@@puhleezman Ive been running Hector fights on the lowest graphics, but it's still metal as fuck. Most fun I've had in a VR game

Telekinise was my first stone and I also had the same fun struggle as you.
the golem fights never stop being fucking awesome. I've fought them 4 different times now and it never gets old, especially ripping the crystal out of it is insane.
Ripping out the crystal (especially with telekinesis and gravity magic), feels so insanely sick like you legitimately are the coolest thing to ever exist. Then of course afterwards is the coolest way i've ever seen people get powers in a game.

@@sbenhaba There's one in every large dungeon, these can only be explored once you have found map fragments in the previous smaller dungeons. Golems like this one will start out without magic, but will pick up abilities on repeat fights like a lightning beam or fire meteors

@@Luzzzzzo no you don’t, you just gotta have a baller pc, the will to learn, a shit ton of money, and a lot of time to waste. vtol vr will stay as the aerial combat game because it’s meant for VR and is much more fun, easy to learn, and can run on your fathers computer from 2003

I've beat Hector 4 times now and this boss fight never got any less fun. I started the game with a no spell character. No time slow and no body enhancement. Just me, a small dagger, and this boss. Going in bare bones with just your weapon and a few apples is what makes this fight feel scary, yet fun. I main a Body and Mind set with 2 daggers and marauder armor. This fight is what I wait for every single time I reach this level and I love it. I'm almost done with the main story. Wish me luck fellow sorcerers.
How do you get more spells
@@williampoulsen2048 When you do outposts, you collect maps. With enough maps you can do the golem fight again

This fight was so cool when I experienced it the first time. I don't know how long it will hold up, but that first time... it was glorious.

I love this. I just had my first fight with a golem and I started with a no-spell character. It was so intense but so fun to fight this thing with just a sword
Playing without any spells or time slow is by far the most fun thing in the game, equal risks and infinitely more prize
@@aspodermousstoplight100 It has been a challenge. Especially when surrounded by like 5 enemies at once since they get really up in your face. Without any assisting tools like gravity or slow motion it becomes so intense, but so much more fun when you do win!
@@Purfunxion its all fun and games until they start to become fully equipped with armor, you're in for a very tough challenge unless ur running either blunt weapons, breakable objects or hand to hand combat. try going a pure archer build and you are in for a rude awakening

this game went from 9/10 to 11/10 with this update.
god this fight is cinimatic as all hell, I finished my first bout with the golem with a jumping attack onto its back shattering the stone.
honestly just for this fight alone the update is 10/10

My favorite part was riding on the golem. It's fun when he just shakes and you're getting thrown all over the place.
I fought this boss after starting with the "no crystal" option. climbing up his arms to get to the weak spots was disorienting as hell and not fun. looks cooler with some magic options, though!

sadly i dont have a oculus quest 2 or 3 but a 1 but it still somehow works but had to put the graphics bit down but dang was i in love how they changed this game the Crystal hunt was a massive sucess
oh and i didnt know it does fire bc it doesnt show the fire animation to me even when he throws a rock

Ps: you have to play the game with no starting crystals/spells, makes the progression to much more fun starting from nothing

You've got a much 'cleaner' way of fighting it. Me though, I just lunge at it and climb over it like a bug, turns out the whole thing is grabbable and you can hold on while it's flailing. Probably very disorienting for anyone who gets nauseous in VR though.

So I just lost to this golem. How the hell was I supposed to know about crystals in this room?

strange, the first one i got seemed to throw non elemental boulders at me that busted on impact.
It unlocks more elemental attacks the more times you fight it, it Capps out at the third fight I think, one fight for every element. This is the golem once you’ve fought the gravity, electricity and fire golems.
There's actually different levels to the golem some having more abilities like Lazers and stuff

he does get some new variants, but doing multiple runs might get repetitive. hope mods make it a bit better for repeated runs

Is every golem fight RNG? WHen i fought golem, it didnt use fire or launch beams at me, only slams and throwing rocks.
They gain more abilities over the course of the game

@@jayjaybond1085 Here's a little more in-depth explanation on why it can't come out immediately:
Blade and Sorcery started out a PCVR game, but since Nomad's release, they've had to make a decision to either update them both at the same time at the cost of PCVR players having worse graphics, or to update them separately so that Nomad players could have the update while PCVR players still make the absolute most out of their thousand dollar PC. Of course, the decision to update them separately was made, and since the 1.0 update was made with PCVR players in mind, it may be a while before the update comes to Nomad so that the quest can run smoothly.
In short: The update will be a while because the quest, as a standalone device, simply can't handle the graphics and they need to be optimized before the update drops.
I think this fight is underwhelming and easy. I hope warpfrog reworks it, but I feel like I’m alone in my opinion so I doubt they will.

Hi, I’m a nomad player, I’m between the age of 10 or 13, (not telling you my real age mafrikas)
The update looks so good and I want to play it, but someone said it’s gonna be… MONTHS FOR NOMAD 1.0!? no no no I quit, I said to myself. So that’s what I did :p
No offense to blade and sorcery, but I honestly think battle talents final boss is better in every way(my opinion).
