- overwhelming feel of sorrow and despair (rumbling)

combined with the music, my god the music, and animation ...
nobody does it better than aot.

To be fair, MAPPA went all out on this one. So much better than all their previous work on the show. The first two parts of Season 4 look really poor in comparison.

@@marcoscarrasco92 probably time constraint. When you have to do dozens of episodes you can get away with poorer quality. When you have 2 final special episodes you gotta nail it.

Alex, we have been waiting on this one. Perhaps the greatest episode that has ever come out in television or any story out there, period. The culmination that is this penultimate episode of Attack on Titan has paid off, and it's NOT over until this Fall of 2023 for the LAST Hour long SPECIAL of this decade long story. Incredible reaction as always, Alex.

Just 10 minutes in to this episode I knew it was the best single episode I’ve seen. Eren’s confession to his true motivation of the rumbling being the denial of his childhood dream, intercut with Ramzi’s death is so tragic. When I first read this in the manga, Eren immediately became my favorite character. I kept waiting for the moment where we would see why Eren went from a heroic teen to a nationalist monster, but instead I was faced with the realization that Eren was driven by the same thing all along, that idealistic, impossible dream of freedom.
4:19 now you can understand the meaning of opening 6 lyric "Children cling to their coins squeezing out their wisdom."
Reiners transformation mid air to attack the beast titan was god tier animation
I think Pieck's transformation from purely an animation perspective was actually more impressive lol. What made Reiner's transformation more remarkable was the build-up and the epic drum roll before he bites his hand Eren style

@@beowulf1001 Quick question: How are they supposed to animate all this 2D, please? Especially the final fight is so hard to animate that you just have to use CGI. Just to give a hint: Why is Zeke white? What else could Eren do with the Warhammer Titan? The final battle will be bombastic.
@@Robert_H. Ain't Zeke's titan form being used as a puppet? Because that's what it looks like. Why else would the Beast titan be combined with the Warhammer titan's abilities? Makes me think that Eren "ate" Zeke, to gain his powers, without actually eating him.

Keep in mind that in the first chapter of shingeki no kiojin Wit Studio changed Eren's dream, for this reason at the beginning of this special chapter Mappa corrected that mistake.
Mappa made this correction because Eren and Mikasa's dream is fundamental to the end of the story. In the first chapter of the manga and at the beginning of this chapter it is understood that the dream that Eren mentions having had is about Mikasa and him, what was shown in the first chapter before Eren wakes up (titans, toys and corpses) is a change made by Wit Studio and has nothing to do with Eren and Mikasa's dream shown in the first chapter of the manga.
The itterasshai that Mikasa says in Eren's dream, is a farewell that is used among people who live in the same house. When a person leaves the house he says ittekimasu (which means, I will leave but I will come back) and the person who stays at home answers itterasshai (which means, please go and come back).
Although there are translations like, come back soon, I'll see you later, take care or I'll see you again, a more literal translation that truly expresses the meaning of Itterasshai is, "please go and come back".

Regarding the premiere of the next special (the Special 2 of the Final Season Part 3: looks like a meme), it was announced for the next fall television season, so at the latest it will premiere just before the end of the year (As far as I know, the Japanese television grid is framed in stations, but these do not have to be based on the exact dates of these; In this way, autumn in this case would be considered the entire months of October, November and December, leaving aside that the real autumn begins on September 22 and ends on December 21).
PS: 15:52 ---> To which Floch is refering to with those last words is that if the Rumbling is somehow stopped before the rest of the outside world is destroyed, what's left of the outside world will seek revenge on Paradis, sooner or later. Something similar to what Annie says in 10:16 when she confirms to Mikasa that she is not going to fight for the humanity that wants to see the Eldians dead.
PS2: Taking into account that this Special 1 of the Final Season Part 3 lasts one hour and has adapted about 3-4 chapters of the manga, or the next special lasts two hours or lasts the same and finally there would be a movie like Part 4 of the final season, something that cannot be ruled out since when they interviewed the leader of Shinsei Kamattechan the band that made the sixth opening (My War, the first of the final season) and the third ending (Yugure no Tori, the eerie ending of the second season), during the promotion of the Part 1, he commented that from what he knew, the final season would have 4 Parts of the Final Season. At the time, that statement was taken as a joke from him by many, until the following year it was confirmed that there would be Part 3 (In addition, that rock band is the favorite musical group of Hajime Isayama, the author).
Is there even enough Material to cover 2x 1hour? it´s only the fight and the aftermath, right?
I mean i could maybe see part 2 covering the fight with the "summons" and the mikasa and armin path's talk and part3 being the final confrontation with our boy and wormy +aftermath, but i feel like that still woudn´t add up to 2 hours.
@@ImperatorNocturne The Special 1 adapted about 4 chapters of the manga, but the fourth did not adapt the iconic panels of the Rumbling, so I imagine it will be adapted in Special 2.
If it's two hours and there are no changes from the manga (don't rule out the possibility of an AOE happening), maybe Special 2 will suffice. But considering that Mappa communicated that its original intention was for Part 3 to be a single special but that did not give them time to finish it with the quality they wanted, the normal thing is that the Special 2 is of a similar duration to the Special 1.
Therefore, it would not surprise me at all if we see a Part 4, as the leader of Shinsei Kamattechan said. Who knows, between the desire to squeeze AOT to the maximum and the example of the Demon Slayer movie (It is the highest grossing movie in the history of Japan), maybe Part 4 would be a movie.

@@lilkurva180 If I'm honest, it depends on the day. On the one hand, there are too many indications that an AOE is going to occur that cannot be justified by the change of animation studio; but on the other hand, it is known how much Isayama loves to troll everyone.
However, what interests me about the AOE is that it solves the inconsistencies of the manga, and I am not referring to the issue of the shippers (I honestly don't understand that shippers war) or even to the extra pages at the end of the manga (as much as it is attributed to the power of the titans, War and Conflict will always be linked to the human condition, as Erwin said in 3x6: "Humans will continue to fight one another until the day there's one human or less"), but to the characterization murder occured in the last manga chapters.

I've watched countless reactions and listened to many opinions from my friends about this episode, but this gotta be the first time I hear someone saying that they hated Bauklotze and that "it sucks". I'm so confused, specially because you didn't explain it at all. Almost everyone says it was a perfect choice and made the moment so much more sadder.
For the last part it's about 5 chapters left , and if you didn't knew already , it will be aired in autumn 2022.
Probably will be another movie-like episode for an hour , hour and half , or something like that.

wings of freedom is a small chapter of hange's sacrifice which they didn't show it as a chapter text.... they added that chapter in rumbling
the next and final episode is 80 mins and will be released between October and December
