Nobody talks about how much Layla embellishes. Will was very flirty with her but never once did it seem like he was going to take her seriously
His intent may have been obvious from a viewer's standpoint but for Layla, who could only take him at face value, I could see how she thought his head may turn. We all saw a different side to Will we didn't even think was possible. Unlike Cynthia who I felt was putting in more effort with Casey than the other way around, Will was absolutely grafting Layla. And just like she said, even when she took his rejection on the chin and said "cool, friends then?" He still insisted on telling her how attractive he still finds her
