    Weird request, but I've been playing Need for Speed:Heat lately and would love to see how they transition between gameplay and the pause menu. The in game car model is still used, but you are pulled from the game immediately to a different background. You can even see tire smoke and exhaust flames still showing up in the pause menu from actions you did before pausing so the same mddel is being used.
    So basically I want to see what this transition looks like from out of bounds.

    • @brentenjs550

    • @mbc07
      @mbc07 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Another one I find interesting is NFS 2015, from the same studio. All story cutscenes in that game are FMVs with real actors, but somehow, in garage scenes, they still managed to overlay your cars, with all customizations intact, on top of the FMV in a rather realistic fashion...

    • @TheSultan1470
      @TheSultan1470 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, yeah, Heat is very stylish, nice presentation, like all the Need For Speed games.

    • @TheSultan1470
      @TheSultan1470 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mbc07 Pretty sure the technique is similar as when they did FMV in Most Wanted/Carbon. The actors are recorded, then placed into the scene. The cars are just objects in the game scene, that is the same in and out of cutscene.

    I would love to see how the Guilty Gear series looks with an unlocked camera. With Xrd specifically, tons of the cinematics break parts of the models to keep it looking like a 2D hand-drawn anime despite being a 3D game, would also love to see how the environments for the insta-kills are loaded/stored.

  • @leemaster777
    @leemaster777 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    Actually, that specific Joker picture is from the Justice League show. Same continuity, different Joker design. I believe the episode in question is "Injustice for All", where Lex Luthor first assembles an Injustice Gang to take down the Justice League. And I THINK that specific frame is from part two of the episode, right when Joker wakes up Batman (who was unconscious).

    Steven's eyes makes sense to have the extra white as it's an odd shape. Looks like they tried to use an orb still and failed and may of ran out of time so they put in the normal solution with the white eye background (but didn't stick the landing).

      It's also really bizarre that they'd even try that in the first place, when they can just tell the renderer, "See these polygons that don't have a texture? Yup. Render them as a shade of white no matter what, as long as the polygons are visible." It works like a green screen. No need to make a polygonal background cone inside the head.

    Marvel 3 should get more time when it gets better camera tools. In the meantime, have you done a Tatsunoko vs Capcom episode? You can use either Dolphin's debug camera features or view the assets in Brawlcrate to get views of the stages in that game.

    SVC2 makes me want a full boundary break of KOF XV, residual with some of the more detailed stages like the horror amusement park and the Metal Slug stage. The white object inside Steven's head (4:18) is necessary because his eyes are not spherical, so rotation will always leave little holes here and there.
    When it comes to the squid (6:18) it might be that they chose to keep it loaded because it has a lot of tentacles with many segments, so having to load all of the bones of the rig every time might be taxing for the game and cause a small amount of stuttering.

[Also doing this may reach a wider audience in some cases...] (Though focusing one one game, your video may have more success in those that want just that one thing...) You could always make a end slate covering other games or something like that for like BONUS CONTENT TIME!!! Lol I'd like that.

    id really wanna see a boundry break on mortal kombat deception, because of its fully 3d arenas, stage transitions/death traps. plus it has extra gamemodes and even a full on 3d adventure rpg
