Me listening to it back well actually this wasn't out yet it wasn't I heard first with Autobahn and I had to go to the record stores and looking books and find the numbers and order the stuff and wait months and months for it to come in this is what I listen to in college I turned all of Waco on to craft work and craft work became nearly every music after it
Nah. Statistically speaking, _Electric Cafe_ is their most under appreciated and overlooked album - if you look at the reviews, ratings and popular reception. Which is still way above average, in terms of musical craftsmanship and artistic value, both at the time of its release and today.
"The Voice of Energie" - voice - "This the voice of energie. I am a huge electrical generator. I provide them with light and strength which will enable you with language, music and image. Sending and receiving via the aether, I am your servant and your master at the same time, therefore take good care of me, use me, I'm the genius of energie.".
Now I'll have to find the vinyl in my basement, oil up my turntable, turn off the lights, turn up the volume and lay back dead center between the speakers.
8:40 I love this bit I think the technique is called Tierce de Picardie, this mixed with the electronic fried vocal since is just ah soo good, I love it
This was made for the amateur radio hobby no question on that excellent band grew up listening to these guys as a kid Then came along electro bands such as tubeway army late 70s and the rest is history.
This version of Radioactivity makes me cry when I hear it. I love the part where they sing in Japanese. I am Japanese and visited Fukushima twice and joined their rebuilding efforts after the earthquake, tsunami and the accident at Fukushima. Having seen the devastation in the region adds a strong and personal meaning to the song's message. Imasuguyamero!
Can't obviously beat the original (one of the best albums ever released), but.. An interesting new take on Airwaves :) Also, I don't mind "Antenna", though this version is a little silly.. I never a big fan of "Ohm Sweet Ohm" that's why I think this version is maybe more enjoyable (atleast it's shorter :) "Radio Stars/Uranium" are still among the best music ever put on a record...my weird taste i suppose!
@@KanalvogtSG Don't get me wrong, "Ohm.." is a beatiful melody (a kind of hymn) but it is a little too "predictive" and I'm not a fan of Orchestron's flute and cello(?) sounds heh! I just tend to like the more chaotic and improvised than the calculated and predictive output. Kraftwerk, just as Tangerine Dream and others went towards precision and pre-programmed style towards the 80's as the technology advanced, and I fully understand at the time bands like Kraftwerk wanted to go that way.
It's around 2012 - 2016. I don't know from which concert it is because it's not listed in the tracklist like in Minimum Maximum. I tried to compare the vocals from live recordings of the 3D tour with the 3D-catalogue release and they don't match. Maybe the 3D versions were all studio recorded which could be possible because the vocals in Computer Love are from The Mix.
Too bad they changed the original lyrics of the second track (here also added some Japanese text), as well as the album title. It was called "Radio-Activity" and it was a word pun basing on "radio" - thus such track titles as Antenna or Transistor, having no connection with radioactivity itself.
Stereo in this version is definetly enhanced and sounds better! Even though I like '75 version more than the '91 it's nice to hear both blend together in this way
Well, the vocals in Antenna lack a lot of reverb that the original had. Radioactivity doesn't have the funkyness that The Mix version had, but it is OK.
I believe that nuclear energy is a movement into the future. This is our everything. The development of all mankind is in nuclear power! One should learn from mistakes, not hide! Throw stones if I'm wrong !!!
It's retro technology, not futuristic. The hidden costs such as decommission and waste management (!) are unquantifiable. It is morally reprehensible to expect future generations to pay for electricity that we consume today.
This is art on he highest level.
The album itself is beyond words.
And the realization of this absolute masterpiece is excellent.
Congratulations.
The way you've done this with animations that perfectly fit the album's aesthetic is absolutely fantastic. I've subscribed!
I didn't do the animations. It was made by Kraftwerk. I just put them together.
@@KanalvogtSG It's still a really beautiful package. Thanks for doing it.
@@KanalvogtSG Did they release these online before?
@@billcompeau4835 No, they only released the animations in the 3D-Catalogue DVD.

I'm also from the Philippines and I love to listen to Kraftwerk, along with Jean-Michel Jarre, two of the greatest electronic artists of all time.
By far the most under appreciated but the hands down best Kraftwerk album EVER.
You're right !! The original U. S. LP from '75 is the way it was really done. But this is interesting.....
@@mikeernest1764 I agree but LOVE Geiger counter going straight into Radioactivity SO MUCH!!!!!!

The animation in "Radioactivity" is just awesome, the kettenreaktion blowed up my mind.
Miazga!!!!!!!!!!!🖤🖤🖤❣️ Jedna z najważniejszych płyt na świecie!!!! Majstersztyk...od pierwszej sekundy do ostatniej!!!!
Zgadzam się, najlepsza płyta Kraftwerk... Piękna i niepokojąca
Oh boy, this new mix is really great..
My favourite album. Beautiful, intense, haunting and dark. "Black Celebration" of Kraftwerk. Thank you for upload 🖤

Um dos meus álbuns favoritos.
nice animation
la sensación de escucharlo es como haberlo visto en blanco y negro a tubo y pasarse a colores de realidad virtual
Realidad virtual ? Paradox ?
the references to not only nuclear radiation but also to radio and space is huge Fallout vibes
Electro Masters
I love it!
What can be done today on a table top,,, took Kraftwerk a 3. bedroom house to hold the electronics to do this LP and most others back in the day.
,,,maybe is the reason todays is no soul in music

A poor relation of the original. Antenna is especially bad. They made it sound stupid,
Well, the vocals in Antenna lack a lot of reverb that the original had. Radioactivity doesn't have the funkyness that The Mix version had, but it is OK.
This is Good..... But the Original 1975 American LP is better.
Damn this song gave me real fear there f9r a bit.

Fukushima in 1975? Seriously?
This is not the 1975 LP.
This is the live version, plus it’s an updated version to catch up to today’s standards, check out the 1975 LP if you want the original one.
Martin Gore must've been a fan of this )
I think so. Alan Wilder also liked Kraftwerk.
