    Operation Mincemeat was remarkable.
    Operation Fortitude was exceptional.
Both Ops saved thousands of lives and materials, so ending the war sooner.
Here's to all the men & women who worked behind the scenes and in the shadows to achieve, Victory!
    God bless 'em all 🏅

I wish you wouldn't have a soundtrack that interferes with the audio

Abit like Starmer saying he's changed Labour. Then Abbott marches in and makes mince meat of him.😂

Not Desert Storm for 100 hours, it was Desert Sabre, that was the US name, Brits was Op Granby.

There is a huge amount of this in Ukraine at the moment. Except the dummy sites need to have much better detail as drones with HD cameras can get a much better look.

We also had dummy airfields with painted runways and taxiways, inflatable aircraft and plywood buildings during the Battle of Britain. It convinced the Germans that we had far more airfields and aircraft than we did. Hitler convinced himself that destroying the RAF was impossible as Luftwaffe loses mounted.

@loesanchez979...... Wasn't really a US Idea. This from an article about Congressional honours for Ghost army members ... ...
."Whenever family members asked 100-year-old Seymour Nussenbaum what part he played in the Second World War, he told them: “I blew up tanks!”
Little did they know what he really meant.
In fact, Mr Nussenbaum, from New Jersey, was part of a secret 1,100-strong “Ghost Army” whose job was to dupe the Nazis about the size and location of Allied forces with life-size inflatable decoys on the front line.
Inspiration for the unit came from the British, who had honed the deception technique for the battle of El Alamein in late 1942..
Also, they were made by UKs Shepperton film studios. And not just tanks, all sorts of vehicles, floating landing craft and aircraft.

None of which in an age of social media would work today.

It would, the number of weird, false conspiracies that are believed by people is as great or greater.

@NOT.MI5.MI6. Nobody would believe you could fly by flapping your arms because it's ridiculous. We are not discussing ridiculous story's[sic] though, we are discussing stories that are genuinely believable. Also, tell me how you could check out what the opposing side are doing in a war situation. Do you really believe it's going to be available on the internet? 😂
